  • Publication number: 20230303295
Abstract: A lid assembly includes a lid element having an annularly shaped peripheral portion configured to be axially aligned with and disposed between a rim of a canning container and a radially extending portion of a retainer element when the lid assembly is engaging the canning container and the retainer element is removably coupled to the canning container. An annularly shaped sealing element is disposed on the peripheral portion of the lid element and is configured to directly engage the rim of the canning container when the lid assembly is contacting the canning container. A plurality of projections is formed in the peripheral portion of the lid element with each of the projections forming a distally disposed surface of the peripheral portion with respect to an exterior axial direction of the lid element extending away from an interior of the canning container when the lid assembly is engaging the rim.

  • Patent number: 11697533
Abstract: A lid element for use with a canning container includes a centrally disposed domed portion, an annular channel portion disposed radially outwardly of the domed portion, and an annular peripheral portion disposed radially outwardly of the channel portion. The peripheral portion is configured to be axially aligned with a rim of the canning container about a circumference of the rim when the lid element is engaging the rim. The channel portion extends away from each of the domed portion and the peripheral portion with respect to an interior axial direction corresponding to an axial direction of the lid element towards the interior of the canning container when the lid element is engaging the rim.

  • Patent number: 5288262
Abstract: A push wheel toy is disclosed where a handle is attached to pair of wheels on an axle. The axle is contorted so that the wheels are not necessarily parallel nor will the toy move in a straight line unless carefully controlled. The handle is loosely attached so that any point along the axle may be used to propel the toy. The toy may not only be used as a simple push toy, but may also be useful in therapy for those suffering motor control disability, and as a game between several individuals.

  • Patent number: 5107690
Abstract: A portable secure container or keysafe is provided which employs a conventional combination padlock with a permanently attached U-shaped shackle. The padlock serves as both the locking mechanism and closure for the container. The padlock is inserted into a sleeve extending from the container which slidably receives the lock. The mechanism to operate the lock is located in the same opening which receives the lock. The sleeve has a hole to receive the free end of the padlock shackle and a slot which receives the permanently attached end. The slot can be "L" shaped to allow a circular padlock to be rotated within a circular sleeve a limited distance to align the free end of the shackle with a hole in the sleeve. The container can also be secured to a permanent structure by the shackle of the padlock.

  • Patent number: 4974904
Abstract: A hemisphere with an integral outer flange is attached to the flat bottom surface of a chair. A cone shaped base depends from the convex bottom of the hemisphere and is separated from the hemisphere by an annular member having a multiplicity of roller bearings seated on its top surface and in contact with the convex surface of the hemisphere. The cone base has a flat bottom plate connected to the first end of a turn-buckle. A second end of the turn-buckle is connected to a spring connected in turn to the hemisphere. An increase or decrease in the tension exerted on the the spring controls the degree of rocking of the chair.

  • Patent number: 4861039
Abstract: A checkers game having two sets of twelve square pieces played on a sixty-four square board. Each checker of one set has a positive magnetic pole imbedded in one vertical side face. Each checker of the other set having a negative magnetic pole imbedded in one vertical side face. An opponent's checker is captured by moving an attacking checker adjacent an opponent's checker and successfully orienting the attacking checker piece such that its magnetic pole directly faces the opposite magnetic pole of the opponent's checker piece thereby causing a magnetic attraction. The two players make alternative moves by moving one square forward, sideways, back, diagonally, rotating a piece ninety or one hundred-eighty degrees, or over an adjacent piece in a jump. The play continues until one player removes all the checkers of his opponent.
