Abstract: A system and method for purchasing and managing healthcare is provided. Generally, the system has a healthcare account manager with a database having user identification, accounts of credits associated with the user identification, healthcare service provider identification, and unit amounts associated with the healthcare services. The system also has a network and healthcare account manager terminal. The network connects one or more healthcare providers with the healthcare account manager terminal. The healthcare account manager terminal is capable of receiving information regarding a specific healthcare service performed by a specific healthcare provider on a specific user; determining from the database a specific amount of units associated with cost of the specific healthcare service performed; and reducing the number of units in an account associated with a specific user in the database, based on the determined specific amount of units associated with the specific healthcare service performed.
