  • Patent number: 10782303
Abstract: Methods for treating, diagnosing, and providing prognostic information for kidney disease related to MERS-CoV infection are described. Transcription and translation products (for example, mRNA or peptides) of FGF2, Smad7, and/or sequences upstream of FGF2 are useful as markers that indicate kidney disease and/or provide prognostic information related to the course of kidney disease related to MERS-CoV infection. Such kidney disease can be treated and/or mitigated by reducing the availability of FGF2, Smad7, and/or a sequence upstream from FGF2 by reducing and/or regulating transcription and by sequestering related peptides using a large molecule binding partner, such as an antibody. Sequences for useful siRNAs and antisense oligonucleotides are provided.

  • Patent number: 9962302
Abstract: The present invention provides a manual stair climbing wheel chair. The wheel chair comprises a hand crank handle, seat reclining devices, a gear box and a driven sprocket wheel set. When the seat of the wheel chair is reclined by using the seat reclining devices, the front and rear wheels of the wheel chair are only driven by the gear box through the driven sprocket wheel set, and cannot be pushed or propelled by hands; the person propelling the wheel chair can drive the front and rear wheels only by rotating the hand crank handle, so that self-slippage of the wheel chair can be avoided when moving up and down on stairs.

  • Publication number: 20070173399
Abstract: The present invention describes a process to obtain zeolites more resistant to calcination in the presence of water vapor at high temperatures, which is a characteristic condition found during the catalyst regeneration in the Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC). One apply the invention to high silica-alumina ratio (SAR) zeolites, for instance the ZSM-5 zeolite, which are able to crack only short hydrocarbon molecules, with normal or slightly branched carbon chain, and which are also able to increase considerably the yields of olefins and LPG. Through the combination of mild pre-calcination and phosphorous deposition one obtain a zeolite which presents higher catalytic activity than zeolites non treated or treated through other processes of the state-of-technique.

  • Publication number: 20070032374
Abstract: A multifunctional additive for maximizing yield of light olefins and LPG, with a tolerance to contaminant metals. Maximization of the referenced properties is accomplished through the use of a zeolite treated with a phosphorus source, calcined and impregnated with a rare earth salt. The process for preparation of the referenced catalyst includes the following steps: preparation of a precursor containing a zeolite that is selective of olefins with a source of phosphorus; placement of a source of phosphorus in this precursor through calcination; deposition of rare earth salts on the surface of the additive for maximizing the yield of light olefins and LPG that forms; and drying the multifunctional additive formed.

  • Patent number: 5960170
Abstract: The iterative detection and treatment of viruses using virus detection objects and virus treatment objects is disclosed. Pursuant to a request for a virus scan, a virus detection object is produced by a server and is transmitted to a client for execution. The client receives and executes the virus detection object, and the results are transmitted to the server. The server uses the results to produce an additional virus detection object which is also transmitted to the client and executed so that the results can be transmitted to the server. The iterative production and execution of virus detection objects is continued until a determination is made as to whether the targeted file or data includes a virus. Upon a determination that a targeted file or data includes a virus, a vaccine specifically tailored to the conditions presented at the client and the type of virus detected is produced, preferably in the form of a virus treatment object.
