  • Publication number: 20100135770
Abstract: A gas turbine engine mid turbine frame having an inner case supporting at least one bearing and at least three spokes extending radially outwardly to an outer case, the mid turbine frame having an interturbine duct extending through the mid turbine frame, the interturbine duct spaced axially closer to an upstream turbine disc than a bearing supporting structure of the mid turbine frame and mounted axially slidingly relative to the bearing supporting structure to substantially isolate the bearing supporting structure from axial loads, for example such as disc loads incurred in the unlikely event a turbine disc shaft shears within the engine.

  • Publication number: 20100132371
Abstract: A gas turbine engine has a mid turbine frame system which includes an outer case surrounding a spoke casing. Spokes of the spoke casing are detachably connected to the outer case and radially extend through hollow struts of a segmented interturbine duct which is disposed between the outer case and an inner case of the spoke casing. A bearing housing is supported by the inner case of the spoke casing. The mid turbine frame is assembly by inserting the interturbine duct segments over the spokes and then inserting the spoke casing into the outer case.

  • Publication number: 20070112692
Abstract: A drawing take off system itemizes components shown on a paper drawing. The take off system includes a sleeve for holding a standard pen, a computer having a software module, and an interface connection between the sleeve and the computer. The software module maintains a list of each component model shown on the drawing. The sleeve includes a pen stroke switch for counting pen strokes and a component selection switch for selecting a component model from the component model list compiled in the software module. As an estimator marks components on the paper drawing, the take off system counts pen strokes for each individual component of each model of component marked on the paper project drawing by the estimator and calculates the cost for all of the components taken off of the paper drawing.

  • Patent number: 5477782
Abstract: Disclosed is an inking device for a photogravure printing apparatus, wherein the inking chamber is closed on all sides; it is filled with ink under pressure; it extends solely over the length of the engraved part of the cylinder, and it is defined, at its two longitudinal ends, by radial closure plates with curved peripheral surfaces which are applied against the smooth end part of the engraved cylinder, on either side of its useful engraved central part.

  • Patent number: 5267775
Abstract: An automatic tilt mechanism for attaching a monitor to a movable structure, comprising: a hinge having a first leg means for attachment to a monitor, a second leg means for attachment to the movable structure and a pivot joining the first and second leg means so that they can be moved with respect to each other after attachment; a transfer means adapted to move in proportion to movement of the movable structure; and a connecting means for transmitting movement of the transfer means to the hinge so that the first leg means moves proportionally to movement of the movable structure. The invention may further include a reclinable seat back of a seat in a passenger vehicle as the movable structure. The invention may still further include a fixed length sheathed cable as the connecting means. The invention may also provide an automatic tilt mechanism that is driven by motion of the seat back.
