  • Patent number: 10383969
Abstract: A fragrance delivery element may be configured to generate one or more vortices as air flows therethrough. The fragrance delivery element may include one or more airflow apertures, each of which may be configured to receive airflow and convert the airflow to a vortex. As air flows through each airflow aperture and past the fragrance delivery element, fragrance is emitted into the air. Emission of the fragrance may occur without heating the fragrance delivery element or the fragrance. The creation of at least one vortex may extend the distance fragrance is thrown from the fragrance delivery element. Methods and systems for dispersing fragrance are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10197365
Abstract: A spin launched unmanned aerial system projectile includes a net means for disabling a selected target. The net means includes deployment mechanism and weights attached thereto which are cast at said target through use of an ejection spring means. Centripetal forces on the still spinning petals/weights open the net means as it is cast at the target.

  • Patent number: 9976360
Abstract: A system for damping vibration in a drill string can include a magnetorheological fluid valve assembly having a supply of a magnetorheological fluid. A remanent magnetic field is induced in the valve during operation that can be used to provide the magnetic field for operating the valve so as to eliminate the need to energize the coils except temporarily when changing the amount of damping required. The current to be supplied to the coil for inducing a desired magnetic field in the valve is determined based on the limiting hysteresis curve of the valve and the history of the magnetization of the value using a binary search methodology. The history of the magnetization of the valve is expressed as a series of sets of current and it resulting magnetization at which the current experienced a reversal compared to prior values of the current.

Abstract: This application generally relates to systems, devices, and methods for delivering a fragrance. In some embodiments, portable fragrance delivery systems are provided. In further embodiments, improved fragrance delivery systems are provided that provide increased dispersion of scented agents. In some embodiments, a fragrance delivery system does not include a light source. Optionally, the fragrance delivery system does not include a heater. A portable power source (e.g., disposable or rechargeable batteries) may be provided to power a fan. The fan may blow air through channels of a fragrance carrier to disperse the vaporizing agent and/or scent released by the fragrance carrier.

  • Patent number: 7007607
Abstract: A hinged explosively formed projectile warhead system eliminates exposure of soldiers to harm in wall breaching operations by providing a lethal mechanism that can be deployed at safe distances, simultaneously breaching a man-sized hole and removing one or more rows of rebar in reinforced concrete structures or barriers. The warhead system employs both a missile system and explosively formed projectile warhead technology delivered to the target from a tube launched platform. A set of warhead arms is attached to the aft end of a missile body by means of a set of hinges. The warhead arms are initially folded against the missile body. After launch of the warhead system, the warhead arms fold away from the missile body. The angle at which the warhead arms are folded from the missile body determines the area of a hole breached by the warhead system in a reinforced concrete target.

  • Patent number: 6868791
Abstract: A single stage kinetic energy warhead using multiple explosively formed projectile (EFP) liners in a stacked configuration is capable of breaching intermediate barriers and defeating a primary target. The main explosive charge is detonated and the subsequent shockwave causes the front liner to be shaped to breach an intermediate barrier. The main liner is formed into a more compact rod-shaped projectile designed to defeat the main target. The weight and volume of the stacked liner configuration of the present system is significantly lower than the weight and volume of current systems. The present system requires a single firing explosive train eliminating developmental cost and complex fusing. The present system utilizes explosive detonation, simplifying the delivery of a projectile and eliminating the need for a missile delivery system. The size and simplicity of the present system allows for portability and use by an individual.
