Abstract: In a first aspect, the invention provides a strap fitting configured for engaging a strap, which fitting comprises an inner crossbar and an outer crossbar, said crossbars extending between opposite side walls of the fitting, in which the inner and outer crossbar respectively have first and second support surface portions, which support surface portions face away from each other, and which support surface portions are configured for supporting portions of strap curving around said respective crossbars. In particular, the first support surface portion has a curvature that progressively increases, along an input sense for the strap. In further aspects, the invention provides a lashing system, a lashing kit, and a method for securing a load.
