  • Patent number: 5979151
Abstract: A self-propelled chopper forage harvester has a flap assembly at the discharge end of a pivotable ejector pipe. A hydraulic actuator moves the flap assembly about a generally horizontal axis for directing the projection of the forage. The flap assembly is removably mounted so it can be either at a position at the top of the discharge end of the ejector pipe for filling open-top forage boxes or at a position 180 degrees therefrom and at the bottom of the discharge end for filling closed-top forage boxes.

  • Patent number: 5595537
Abstract: A self-propelling harvester thresher has a drive motor, a cooler with a cooler fan for supplying a cooling air, a sieve device arranged before the cooler for retaining dirt particles entrained in the cooling air, an outer housing associated with the sieve device and having a smaller efficient surface than an air inlet surface of the sieve device. The housing has a side which faces toward the sieve device and is at least partially open. A conduit connects the housing with a suction side of a blower. A screening element is arranged inside the sieve device opposite to the open side of the housing. The screening element is formed as an inner housing having a surface which faces toward the end surface of the sieve device and has an opening. The opening of the inner housing of the screening element is greater than the opening of the outer housing connected with the blower.

  • Patent number: 5212935
Abstract: The harvesting device for harvesting corn or other grains is embodied as an attachment for a combine and provided with a draw-in device (3) and one picking gap for separating the cobs from the plants (stalks). Furthermore, the harvesting device has one driven picking roller (4) with beater plates per row, as well as a cheek-like guide plate associated with this picking roller (4) and partially enshrouding it, or alternatively, a bracing support extending paraxially to the picking roller and embodied as a driven counter-roller (5). A connection piece (20) acting as a separating and comminuting cutter and stabilizing the distance between the picking roller (4) and the bracing support (5) is disposed in the plant intake (PE) between the picking roller (4) and bracing support (5).

  • Patent number: 4974402
Abstract: A harvesting implement for harvesting of corn and other grain products, to be arranged in front of a harvester thresher, comprises a driven drawing roller having a substantially cylindrical main body and a plurality of impact plates provided with cutouts, a cutting block provided with cutting elements extending through the cutouts, and a counter holder associated with the drawing roller. The counter holder is formed as a driven counter roller which is axes parallel to the picking roller, the counter roller includes a main body with a plurality of segments spaced from one another, the drawing roller and the counter roller are both associated with the one common cutting block, the cutting elements of the cutting block include a plurality of cutters which extend simultaneously in the intermediate spaces between the segments of the counter roller and in the cutouts of the impact plates of the drawing roller.

  • Patent number: 4961305
Abstract: An agricultural implement for harvesting corn or other grain fruits to be used especially as a front implement as a harvester thresher comprises a drawing unit, a unit forming a picking gap for separating cobs from a fruit, a picking roller surrounded by a partial casing and having a cylindrical base body with a plurality of impact plates provided with cutouts, a cutting unit provided with a plurality of cutting members extending through the cutouts, the cutting unit having an end which is opposite to the cutting members, a joint traverse supporting the cutting unit at the end independently of the partial casing the turnable about an axis extending parallel to an axis of the picking roller, the traverse together with the cutting unit being turnable against a spring force about an axis which extends parallel of the axis of the base body and being arrestable upon turning.

  • Patent number: 4864807
Abstract: A harvesting arrangement for harvesting corn and other grain fruits and formed as a front implement of a harvester thresher, the harvesting arrangement comprises drawing devices for drawing harvested product from the field, a picking gap for separating ears from stalks, a picking roller which is only one for each stalk row, the picking roller including a substantially cylindrical base body with a casing provided with a plurality of impact plates having cut outs, a cutting device including a plurality of individual cutters each having a free-running end which faces toward the base body and an opposite end which faces away from the base body, the casing of the base body having a plurality of recesses in which the free running ends of the cutters are introduced, and holding elements arranged to support the opposite ends of the cutters adjustably relative to the base body.
