  • Patent number: 4003135
Abstract: The present device and technique enables a small specimen to be subject to a continuous maximum concentration gradient by continually replenishing the fluid coming in contact with the specimen. Accordingly, the diffusion rate from the specimen to the fluid in contact is maintained at a high level, and the fluid-exchange steps are completed quickly. Further, the device is designed to hold a plurality of specimens so that a number of specimens can be "dried" simultaneously and quickly.
