Abstract: Methods are provided in which a collaboration server connects at least two participants via respective user devices to a collaboration session. The collaboration server further detects a violation occurring during the collaboration session. The violation indicates an inappropriate activity or content from a participant of the at least two participants. Based on detecting the violation, the collaboration server performs at least one mitigating action in connection with the collaboration session.

Abstract: Techniques are presented herein to terminate output of video captured by a video camera. Detection is made whether a camera lens of a video camera has been obscured by an intentional act of a person. Video output of the video camera is terminated in response to detecting that the camera lens has been obscured. These techniques allow a user to quickly and easily terminate output of video without the need for a dedicated switch or button, or some other special procedure.

Abstract: An example method is provided and includes receiving status information from a number of endpoints associated with a meeting session in a network environment, where the status information includes, at least, information indicative of whether any of the number of endpoints have virtually checked into the meeting session. The method can also include receiving anticipated arrival information from a checked in endpoint; and generating a representation of the anticipated arrival information to be viewed during the meeting session.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a method for monitoring a conference call and notifying members of a breakout session to return to the conference call. The method comprises mixing input streams received from participants of a conference call and distributing mixed streams to the participants, a first stream is provided to participants attending the breakout session and a second stream is provided to remaining participants of the conference call. Speech from the second stream is converted to text and the text is searched for predefined keywords. An alert is sent to at least one participant in the breakout session responsive to detecting one of the predefined keywords.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a method includes receiving, from a first participant of a plurality of participants in an electronic-conference session, a mute request. The mute request comprises information indicating a request to mute communication from a second participant of the plurality of participants in the electronic-conference session, information identifying the first participant as a mute requester, and information identifying the second participant as a mutee. The method includes muting, in response to the mute request, communication from the second participant. The method includes sending, to one or more user devices, the information identifying the first participant as the mute requester and the information identifying the second participant as the mutee.
