  • Publication number: 20210019959
Abstract: A system includes a vehicle event recorder and a modem. The vehicle event recorder is configured to receive a sensor data signal from a sensor that is mounted on a vehicle trailer. The modem is configured to demodulate the sensor data signal to create a modulated sensor data signal. The demodulated sensor data signal is received using a first line. The first line is coupled via a harness to sensor on a vehicle trailer.

  • Patent number: 10854023
Abstract: A system for a trailer mounted data sensor includes a sensor and a modem. The sensor is configured to produce a sensor data signal that is mounted on a vehicle trailer. The modem is configured to modulate the sensor data signal to create a modulated sensor data signal. The modulated sensor data signal is transmitted using a first line. The first line is coupled via a harness to electronics mounted on a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6600931
Abstract: A switch assembly, and an associated method, for a multi-mode mobile station operable to communicate pursuant to two or more communication services. Selected antenna transducers, or test ports, are selectably connected by way of the switch assembly to selected portions of the radio circuitry of the multi-mode mobile station. Non-mechanical switching is effectuated, thereby to provide appropriate connections of appropriate portions of the radio circuitry with the antenna transducers, or test ports, of the multi-mode mobile station.

  • Publication number: 20030060206
Abstract: A communication system includes a mobile station (100) having a transmitter (210) operating on one of a plurality of frequency channels in a first RF frequency band; an associated local area communication subsystem (304) operating by frequency hopping amongst a plurality of channels in a second RF frequency band and a controller (120) that operates in one embodiment for altering a frequency hopping pattern of the local area subsystem as a function of a currently specified frequency channel in the first frequency band. The frequency hopping pattern is preferably also altered as a function of a bandwidth of the currently specified frequency channel of the mobile station. The frequency hopping pattern is altered if the currently specified frequency channel is one having a harmonic frequency that lies in the second frequency band.

  • Patent number: 5204637
Abstract: A controlled-output power amplifier (50) is provided having a wide dynamic range in a plurality of output power levels. The controlled-output amplifier (50) includes an amplifier (12) for receiving an input signal (14) and for providing an output signal (16) therefrom. A power detector (24) is employed for rectifying a sample signal and providing a DC output signal (26) therefrom. An active variable coupling network (52) which preferably includes a varactor (62) is connected between the output of the amplifier (12) and the power detector (24). The variable coupling network (52) receives the amplifier output signal (16) and further receives an isolation voltage (54) and adjusts the amount of isolation between the amplifier (12) and the power detector (24). For high output signals, the isolation voltage (54) causes a high isolation thereby causing less power to be transferred to the power detector (24).
