Abstract: A system for maintaining location of utility housings during construction of a building and method of use are provided. In one form, a method of locating housings within a structure of building during installation of a material to cover the housings comprises the steps of locating a housing prior to covering the housing and aligning an illumination fixture with the housing. The method further includes activating a light source of the illumination fixture to illuminate the housing and provide an illumination site prior to covering the housing using a material. A cavity may then be formed in the material to expose a portion of the housing using the illumination site.
