  • Patent number: 4784006
Abstract: A gyroscopic propulsion device includes a rotatable body in which the center of mass of the rotating body is offset away from a first axis to a second axis. The body rotating around the eccentric second axis of the rotating body generates a propulsion force which moves a vehicle to which the device is attached. In preferred embodiments, the body includes a rotating flywheel or a planar system of spokes along which weights oscillate on springs.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 12, 1987
Date of Patent: November 15, 1988
    Inventor: Lancelot I. Kethley
  • Patent number: 4409834
Abstract: The evapopsychrometer is a special combination of an evaporimeter and a psychrometer. This combination was made possible by the application of a feeder in between and by the use of that portion of the wick which covers the bulb of one of the thermometers as the evaporating surface.

  • Patent number: 4269060
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for continuously recording the relative humidity and/or the vapor pressure of a gaseous component of a material within a gaseous mixture utilizing a relative humidity sensor having a curvature changeable with respect to changes in the relative humidity of said gaseous mixture alone or coupled to a saturation vapor pressure sensor having a linear dimension changeable with respect to changes in the saturation vapor pressure of the material and a means to contrast the linear dimension of saturation vapor pressure sensor to the span of the relative humidity sensor, the resultant value representing the actual vapor pressure of said material.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 3937063
Abstract: An apparatus and method for continuously metering the vapor pressure of a gaseous component of a material within a gaseous mixture utilizing a saturation vapor pressure sensor having a linear dimension changeable with respect to changes in the saturation vapor pressure of the material, a relative humidity sensor having a linear dimension changeable with respect to changes in the relative humidity of said gaseous mixture, and a means to contrast the linear dimension of one of said sensors to the linear dimension of the other, the resultant value representing the vapor pressure of said material.
