Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are disclosed for facilitating networked communication. An event creation module is configured to create an event profile within a social networking service. A check in module is configured to associate a plurality of user profiles of the social networking service with the event profile. A message interface module is configured to provide a message interface in response to determining that a user profile of a first user of the social networking service and a user profile of a second user of the social networking service are associated with the event profile. The message interface is operable by the first user to send a private message to the second user.

A check in module is configured to associate a plurality of user profiles of a social networking service with an event profile within the social networking service. A check in reason module is configured to provide a check in reason interface to a first user of the social networking service. The check in reason interface includes a prompt for the first user to state a reason for associating the first user's user profile with the event profile, and an element configured to receive a response from the first user. The check in reason module is configured to limit a length of the response. Event information module is configured to display information about the event profile to a second user of the social networking service. Abstract: A snowboard boot binding directly securing a user in selective modes to a split ski board device for traversing over snow and ice covered terrain. The snowboard boot binding includes a boot mounting base with multiple direct locking features within the base interacting with mating interfaces on a split ski board touring binding interfaces. An axle axis system is disclosed which is connected to the binding boot base offset or adjacent the boot bed articulating the binding in a walking tour motion on the split ski board touring device. Transition positions including, a first touring free heel walk position over separated ski sections, a second locked heel ride position over joined ski sections, and a third position wherein the mounting base is not coupled to the split ski board during mode transition.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is one embodiment of a camp cooker system. The camp cooker system includes a handle, an elongate arm that includes a proximal end and a distal end, and a stand. The proximal end of the elongate arm is coupled to the handle and the distal end of the elongate arm is coupleable to one or more food items to support the one or more food items adjacent a heat source. The stand is for supporting, free of a user's supporting force, at least the distal end of the elongate arm a distance above a ground terrain. The stand includes a top end and a bottom end, with the top end being detachably coupled to the elongate arm and the bottom end being engageable with the ground terrain. The engagement of the bottom end with the ground terrain anchors and supports the system.

The device includes a base member having a bottom for traversing over snow and ice covered terrain, a positionable axle rotatably coupling a mounting plate with the base member, and the axle positionable to enable one of a plurality of positions including a first position in which the mounting plate pivots above the plane of the base member and a second position in which the mounting plate pivots through the plane of the base member. The device may also include a plurality of wings coupled to the base member, the wings convertible between a skiing configuration in which the wings from a surface for gliding over snow and a snowshoe configuration in which the wings extend to increase the surface area of the base member.

Abstract: A foldable ski is part of a system for traversing over snow and ice covered terrain. The ski is configured to be moved from a deployed condition and shortened in length to a stowed condition. Thus, stowing the ski enables it to fit in small spaces such as in a snowmobile compartment or backpack pocket. The ski is constructed with a plurality of hinges, sections, and locking mechanisms configured to move the sections between the deployed condition and the stowed condition. The ski may also include a mechanism for pivotally coupling footwear to the ski, whether a user is wearing hardshell boots or softshell boots for hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, and/or snowboarding. The mechanism for coupling footwear may include an adjustable binding platform capable of position adjustment and/or length adjustment.

The device includes a removable axle where the device is configured to traverse terrain, a groove connected with a boot for receiving the axle, the groove is configured to enable the boot to pivot about the axle and securely couple the boot with the axle. The groove may be formed in a boot and configured to receive the axle, or the groove may be formed in a mounting plate removably attachable with the boot and configured to receive the axle.

Abstract: A sandwich sealing crust removing method and apparatus also include bread marking and imaging mechanisms for one or more of indenting, embossing, coloring, cutting, and forming. The apparatus is capable of cutting the crust from a prepared sandwich having filling ingredients between at least two slices of bread in the sandwich. The cut edge area on the sandwich is also sealed to insure that the filling ingredients stay within a pocket formed in the bread. One or more element of the apparatus is also capable of embossing images onto the sandwich and/or a bread slice(s). One of a plurality of devices has removably coupled marking elements that can be used on sandwiches. Abstract: A device is disclosed that traverses snow and ice covered terrain. The device includes footwear that has the ability to mount directly to a sliding device or snowshoe and pivot without the need of a mounting plate or base plate. The footwear may also be configured for use in snowboard boot retaining bindings. The footwear may have strapless and detachable crampons. Additionally, the crampons may have a coating for repelling snow and ice covering exterior surfaces of the crampon. A configurable crampon may additionally be joined to a rear portion of the footwear. Furthermore, a mounting plate with a toe cleat and heel cleat are disclosed as being removably coupled with the mounting plate able to be attached to sliding or snowshoe devices in a quick-release manner and quick connecting manner. Also disclosed is a movable traction system that may be raised and lowered through a sliding surface.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for a collapsing approach ski for maneuvering over terrain in a climbing and sliding fashion, with a traction component operative below the sliding surface on the underside of the ski to facilitate climbing uphill without substantially interfering with sliding downhill. It combines the advantages of a snowshoe, including a large surface area, a toe cleat that claws into the terrain and a lifting of the front tip with each step, with the advantages of an approach ski, including a fibrous skin for added traction climbing uphill and an ability to slide down hill. A stretchable portion in the skin adjacent to a hinge in the ski permits the ski to be compactly collapsed without removing the skin, for easy packing and storage while not in use. For climbing up a steep incline, a removable fixed cleat provides added traction, and a heel riser reduces the strain on the lower leg and Achilles tendon region of the skier.

A bladeless sandwich making apparatus is provided with lower and upper tools having sandwich receiving cavities configured to accommodate sandwich ingredients and a mechanism for mounting configured to operate as a hinge and as a handle. Bread layers and filling may be placed within the apparatus in an open position. A filling material cup may be used for filling preparation. Beneficially, the apparatus may include an impression bar or plate to imprint design on an outer sandwich surface or for sandwich separation. The upper tool is configured to engage the lower tool to remove sandwich crusts and seal sandwich edges. The crustless sandwich with sealed edges may be consumed, stored, or heated. A method is disclosed for making sandwiches without crusts and sealed edges with or without designs on the sandwich surface.
