  • Publication number: 20240058587
Abstract: Balloon catheters are described, including a balloon catheter that includes an inflatable balloon and a braiding positioned on an exterior surface of the inflatable balloon. The inflatable balloon includes an intermediate portion, a distal waist, and a transition portion between the intermediate portion and the distal waist. At least a portion of the transition portion has a cone angle of at least 40 degrees. The braiding includes a plurality of threads, and a spacing between adjacent threads of the plurality of threads over the distal waist is smaller than a spacing between adjacent threads of the plurality of threads over the intermediate portion. A spacing between adjacent threads of the plurality of threads over the transition portion gradually transitions over the transition portion from the spacing between adjacent threads over the intermediate portion to the spacing between adjacent threads over the distal waist.

  • Publication number: 20220369919
Abstract: Systems and methods for treating a patient may include accessing an anatomical structure with a single use visualization device, using the imaging capabilities of the single use visualization device within the anatomical structure, and in some cases, advancing the single use visualization device beyond the anatomical structure to and toward another anatomical structure within the patient. Disposable elements may be used with or added to the single use visualization device to accomplish tasks normally performed with reusable devices.

  • Patent number: 11286553
Abstract: Provided is a method of vacuum deposition to deposit at least two functional coatings to a substrate, including (a) evaporating a first film forming material from a first evaporation source disposed in a vacuum deposition chamber, (b) depositing the evaporated first film forming material on a substrate located above the first evaporation source to form at least a portion of an anti-reflective coating on the substrate, (c) evaporating a second film forming material from a second evaporating source disposed in the vacuum deposition chamber, and (d) depositing the evaporated second film forming materials on the substrate located above the second evaporation source to form a hydrophobic coating on the substrate.

  • Patent number: 10844472
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of retrofitting a vacuum deposition chamber of an apparatus for coating optical substrates, the vacuum deposition chamber comprising a second resistance evaporator crucible. The method comprises installing a resistance evaporator comprising a crucible into the operational vacuum deposition chamber such that the crucible is disposed above the vacuum deposition chamber floor, and such that the second resistance evaporator crucible is closer to the vacuum deposition chamber floor than the installed crucible.

  • Publication number: 20200087778
Abstract: Vapor deposition apparatuses and methods for coating a substrate with at least two functional coatings that include a hydrophobic coating are described herein. Some embodiments include a vapor deposition apparatus with at least a first evaporator and a second evaporator, where the evaporator configured to apply the hydrophobic coating is raised above the other evaporator and is thus closer to the substrate. Others include methods of coating a substrate with such evaporators and different distances. Embodiments of the present disclosure can be useful for coating eyeglass lenses. Still others are disclosed.
