  • Publication number: 20060229879
Abstract: A voiceprint identification method for transacting e-commerce includes the steps of: accessing user's login via electronic communication means; an identification device recognizing a password; the identification device verifying voiceprint registration of users whether a voiceprint of the assessed user is registered; a voiceprint identification system identifying the assessed user's login or approving registration of a voiceprint of the user; and the voiceprint identification system determining the user to approve or disapprove in transacting e-commerce.

  • Publication number: 20060226215
Abstract: A pattern identification system for an automatic teller machine includes an illumination device, a video camera unit, a controller and a programmable identification element. The illumination device initially projects light on a sample or security pattern. The controller controls the video camera to magnify an image sufficient for identification at the predetermined position of the sample or security pattern so as to allow capturing an identifiable image of difference with respect to a programmed feature. The video camera unit captures the identifiable image of the predetermined position of the sample or security pattern and sends it to the programmable identification element for processing identification of the sample or security pattern.

  • Publication number: 20050284315
Abstract: An intaglio offset printing machine includes a metal intaglio plate cylinder having a plurality of recesses in a circumference thereof and a transferring cylinder. Ink is filled into the recesses. The transferring cylinder presses against the metal intaglio plate cylinder, allowing the ink in the recesses of the metal intaglio plate cylinder to be transferred onto the transferring cylinder when the metal intaglio plate cylinder and the transferring cylinder are turned synchronously. The transferring cylinder presses against a surface of an object to be printed. Thus, the ink on the transferring cylinder is transferred onto the surface of the object passing through the transferring cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20050276478
Abstract: A pattern identification system includes a platform, a conveying device, an illumination device, a video camera unit, a controller, a programmable identification member and a switching member. The conveying device transports a feeding sample sheet on the platform mounted in the pattern identification apparatus. The illumination device projects light on the sample sheet. The controller controls the video camera to magnify an image with a predetermined multiple sufficient for identification at the predetermined position of the sample pattern so as to allow capturing an identifiable image of difference with respect to a programmed feature. The identifiable image of the selected pattern is captured and sent to the programmable identification member for identifying the selected pattern of the sample sheet. After identifying, the switching member is switched for outputting and sorting the sample sheet by the controller in response to a control signal of the programmable identification member.

  • Publication number: 20040086165
Abstract: A pattern identification system includes an illumination device, a video camera unit, a controller and a programmable identification member. The illumination device projects light on a sample pattern disposed in the system. The video camera unit captures a first image for measuring a reference coordinate of the sample pattern. The video camera unit is moved to a predetermined position by the controller. The controller controls the video camera to magnify an image sufficient for identification so as to allow capturing an identifiable image of difference with respect to a programmed feature. The video camera unit captures a second identifiable image of the sample pattern and sends it to the programmable identification member for identifying the sample pattern.

  • Publication number: 20020143759
Abstract: A search system prioritizes search-response items according to search-histories defined by two-dimensional search contexts: query context and user community. The query context is basically a query string derived from the user's search request. The community can be selected by the user or assigned by the search engine. A user can indicate interest in a search-response item by clicking on an excerpt for further exploration. The search engine associates each interest indication with the query context and the community. Thus, when an item has been returned in response to a search, a hit count for that item in the context of the present query and present community is available for prioritizing. The two dimensionally-restricted search history provides for better-targeted prioritization of search documents.

  • Publication number: 20020138555
Abstract: A method for extending the lifetime of cached web pages. In multi-user environments, as for example in networks, that require the display of personalized information for each client served, regeneration has been required for even the simplest of changes. This regeneration can become an excessive burden on heavily loaded web servers and can cause major, unacceptable performance degradation. Methods are disclosed herein for significantly reducing the incidence of required regeneration of cached pages in such systems. The load on the server is reduced by moving much of the regeneration of information pages to the clients that become the systems responsible for generating most of the personalization modifications. Differences between cached versions can be abridged with client-side scripts, so only one master cache version, instead of multiple minor variation versions, need to be generated on the server, resulting in high cache efficiency and server performance.
