  • Publication number: 20180216900
Abstract: A chiller coil system for an air intake system of a combustion gas turbine system includes an array of chiller cooler modules. The chiller coil system includes at least one first chiller coil and at least one second chiller coil. The first chiller coil has a first overall thermal conductance. The second chiller coil has a second overall thermal conductance greater than the first overall thermal conductance.

  • Patent number: 8961116
Abstract: An exhaust plenum for connection to an exhaust outlet portion of a gas turbine for receiving turbine exhaust gas. The exhaust plenum includes a first wall. The first wall includes a seal attachment component in thermal contact with an exterior shell of the first wall and is adapted for attaching an annular flex seal to the first wall. The seal attachment component extends generally around a perimeter of the inlet of the exhaust plenum, and is thermally insulated from an interior space of the exhaust plenum.

  • Publication number: 20140202186
Abstract: An evaporative cooling system for combustion gas turbine system has an array of cooling media including first and second cooling media types. The first cooling media type has a first maximum air velocity rating, and the second cooling media type has a second maximum air velocity rating that greater than the first maximum air velocity rating.

  • Publication number: 20120174586
Abstract: An exhaust duct for a gas turbine includes a transition section having an inlet for receiving turbine exhaust gas and a relatively larger outlet for interfacing with an auxiliary section housing an auxiliary device. The transition section has an interior surface extending from the inlet to the outlet. The interior surface has a segment generally adjacent to the inlet that is curved to induce a Coanda effect in which the turbine exhaust gas is caused to flow along said curved surface and to expand for distribution of the turbine exhaust gas over the auxiliary device in the auxiliary section.

  • Publication number: 20110162339
Abstract: A gas turbine transition into an emission reduction catalyst is improved by adding properly curved surfaces so as to induce the Coanda effect. Such a surface allows for a reduction in pressure drop, shorter duct lengths, and elimination of some or all of traditionally used flow re-distribution devices.
