  • Publication number: 20120230029
Abstract: A lighting apparatus is shown and described. In one aspect, the lighting apparatus includes a light source, a plate, and frame. The light source can include one or more lighting elements that are in thermal communication with the light source. The plate can have a dissipative portion extending outward from a point of thermal communication between the plate and the light source. The frame can at least partially enclose the light source and may also be in thermal communication therewith.

  • Patent number: 8042968
Abstract: A reflector assembly for a lighting apparatus, the reflector assembly comprising two or more reflector modules configured for associating with one or more light sources, each reflector module comprising one or more reflectors for being located adjacent to a light source when the reflector module is associated with the one or more light sources, the one or more reflectors configured to reflect light from the adjacent light source. The reflector modules may further comprising a cover plate defining a plurality of light source apertures for allowing a light source to protrude through the cover plate, at least a first of the one or more light source apertures disposed adjacent to an overhead reflector and at least a second of the one or more light source apertures disposed adjacent to a lateral reflector.

  • Patent number: 6802627
Abstract: A directional luminaire having a door frame, a lamp shroud, and a lampholder socket attached to a luminaire structure. The luminaire is wired, either directly or indirectly, to provide an electrical connection to a lampholder socket configured to receive a lamp. The lamp shroud has an opening from which the light output is directed. Further, the rim edge of the lamp shroud and retaining lip of the door frame interact to permit substantially complete rotation of the lamp shroud and lamp.

  • Patent number: 4264214
Abstract: A gas/liquid mixer in which intermeshing gears are caused to rotate and establish mixing, by pressure of the fluids being mixed. The gears are mounted for rotation in a gear chamber and interengage in a meshing zone of the chamber. A gas is introduced into the chamber through a gas inlet which is adjacent to one end of the meshing zone. A liquid inlet enters the chamber between the gas inlet and an outlet which is positioned adjacent a second or opposite end of the mixing zone. The gears are rotated in the chamber by the introduction and expansion of the gas and liquid in the spaces between the gear teeth. Flow regulating means controls the gas/liquid ratio. The apparatus is useful, among other purposes, for mixing a soluble gas with molten hot melt adhesive, directly adjacent the nozzle of a dispenser for preparing a hot melt foam.
