  • Publication number: 20050150789
Abstract: A device for holding, storing and displaying various media articles, such as CDs, CD Cases, DVDs, DVD Cases, Audio Cassettes, Audio Cassette Cases, Computer Mini-floppies, Video Cassette, Video Cassette Cases, Books, Magazines, Pictures, Cards and the like. The device is comprised of a single sheet of relatively thin pliable, resilient material, such as a sheet of vinyl, plastic, and the like, within and through said material are cut a plurality of slits, in sets of two or more slits or slit sets. The lower ends of slit sets are spaced apart by a distance which is less than the transverse dimension of an article to be supported or held, while the upper ends are spaced apart at a distance which is greater than the transverse dimension of said article to be supported or held. The lower ends and upper ends of slit sets are longitudinally spaced apart by a distance that is less than the longitudinal dimension of an article to be supported or held.

  • Patent number: 4936295
Abstract: An ankle support prevents damage to a person's ankle by preventing severe lateral bending of the ankle. A support bar is pivotally attached to a high-top shoe, with the upper end of the bar well above the ankle and the lower end of the bar just below the foot. The upper end of the bar is fixed about centrally of the leg, while the lower end of the bar is fixed just forward of the heel. This results in having the bar pass along the front portion of the ankle. Both ends of the support bar can move somewhat at their connection points, so normal foot movement is not restricted while severe lateral motion is prevented. One aspect of the ankle support includes means for automatically adjusting the effective length of the ankle support between the attachment location above the ankle and the attachment location below the ankle.

  • Patent number: 4843717
Abstract: A hair cutting device including a generally rectangular conduit with an open inlet end and an opposite end connected to a vacuum source, and electrically operated hair clippers are carried by a housing so that the cutting elements of the hair clipper extend into the rectangular conduit and into the flow path of the air passing therethrough. A slot is also formed in the conduit to permit auxiliary air to be drawn into the conduit in such a manner as to direct hair entrained in the air flow within the conduit to be directed generally toward the cutting elements. A baffle plate may be provided proximate the cutting elements and downstream of the cutting elements and the slot. Also, the slot may be adjusted, both in terms of size and location relative to the cutting elements.
