  • Patent number: 8322743
Abstract: A trailer alignment apparatus for aligning a trailer with a hitch on a vehicle. The apparatus includes an elongated member having an upper end and an opposite lower end. A light is located on the upper end and a base is locating on the lower end. The base is attachable to a base surface of the vehicle. The elongated member is sized for a portion of the elongated member to be visible when seated on the base surface of the vehicle. The apparatus also includes a contact mechanism for sensing when a portion of the elongated member is touched by the trailer. The light illuminates when the contact mechanism senses the trailer touching the contact mechanism. A driver of the vehicle laterally aligns the elongated member with the trailer and stops the vehicle when the light illuminates.

  • Patent number: 7528571
Abstract: A method for charging a battery is disclosed, wherein a constant current charging current is periodically adjusted as needed such that the change in battery voltage increases approximately linearly during the charging period. In some embodiments the charging is in three phases. An optional first phase charges with a low current until the battery voltages rises to a certain minimum. During a second phase a constant current is provided while the battery voltage is monitored. The second phase constant current is periodically increased if the rate of change of battery voltage is less than a predetermined value and is decreased if the rate of change of battery voltage is more than the predetermined value. When the battery voltage attains a predetermined value, a third phase begins wherein a constant voltage is applied to the battery while the battery current draw is periodically monitored.

  • Patent number: 6966019
Abstract: An automatic test system transfers measure data from one or more test instruments to a processor and processes the measure data, the packaging, transfer, and the processing of the measure data initiated by the one or more test instruments. A method for testing a device under test includes capturing measure data with a test instrument, and initiating, with the test instrument, operation upon the measure data. The operations include packaging the measure data to provide packaged data, and transferring the packaged data to a switching/processing circuit for processing. A method of manufacturing an electronic circuit includes fabricating the electronic circuit and testing the electronic circuit with the aforementioned method.

  • Publication number: 20040080615
Abstract: A digital video security system comprises a video module and an event scheduling module for generating signals in response to at least one predefined event, such that the video module renders the video images in response to a signal generated by the event scheduling module. Predefined events include triggering events, such as motion detection, or a scheduled events, such as a preset date and time. Video images are recorded in a time-indexed file format, from which segments of footage may be extracted by reference to a database of time indices relating to the predefined events. Video images taken by the security system may be delivered in near real-time or at a later time using streaming technology. The security system is operable by either a host computer provided with a video camera or a remote computer, which are in communication over a network such as the Internet.
