  • Patent number: 7228409
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided that allow kernel mode data traffic and user mode data traffic to share a common network communication port. One apparatus includes user mode logic, kernel mode logic, and kernel mode to user mode interface logic. The interface logic is configured to receive data packets and selectively distribute the data packet to either the user mode or kernel mode logic. The interface logic includes “virtual” bridge logic and “virtual” miniport logic. The bridge logic determines if a received data packet is a user mode or kernel mode data packet. If it is a kernel mode data packet, then the bridge logic provides the data packet to the kernel mode logic. If it is a user mode data packet, then the bridge logic stores the data packet in memory for subsequent use by the user mode logic.

  • Patent number: 7213044
Abstract: A data communication system is configured to communicatively link a host device and a client device with a point-to-point data communication link, where the point-to-point data communication link is configured with multipoint network data communication components designed for data communication over a distributed network. A data communication interface at the host device is communicatively linked with a data communication interface driver via the point-to-point data communication link between the host device and the client device. The data communication interface driver communicates with a virtual driver component for the client device via a virtual network at the client device.

  • Publication number: 20070076475
Abstract: A system that determines where a particular XIP component is stored on a medium and loads the component into RAM for execution, providing the ability to demand page specific components at will from storage media, frees up working RAM on memory constrained devices. A Binary File System uses a generic block driver component that loads the XIP code from a block based storage medium. Features of the file system include the ability to load pre-“fixed up” components from a block based device.. The invention thus allows an operating system to load code that was previously Executed In Place (XIP) from a block-oriented device.

  • Patent number: 7194699
Abstract: Images displayed on a display device are animated to reflect a user's selection of the images. According to one embodiment, the displayed images include keyboard characters that are selected when the user touches the display at the locations of the display where the images are shown. Selection of the displayed images can also be made through any combination of audio, optical, mechanical and electrical input devices. A plurality of selected images can also be animated simultaneously and by varying degree to reflect a sequence in which the images were selected by the user.

  • Publication number: 20070049686
Abstract: A hybrid resin composition is described, the composition comprising: A. An A part composition comprising an aliphatic polyfunctional isocyanate compound and a free radical polymerization initiator; and B. A B part composition comprising an ethylenically unsaturated, substantially water-free polyester polyol and a polyurethane catalyst. The A part composition can contain a non-interfering solvent, e.g., styrene, and the B part composition typically has an acid value of 5 or less (based on solids). For outdoor use, the B part composition is preferably free of tertiary hydrogens, ether glycols and terephthalic acid residues.

  • Publication number: 20060075388
Abstract: A cross-platform development system includes a computing device that generates an image of an operating system, and a software development peripheral connected to the computing device that runs the operating system corresponding to the image. The software development peripheral communicates information, such as image data, generated by the operating system back to the computing device where the information is displayed on a display device connected to the computing device.
