  • Patent number: 5101793
Abstract: A manually adjustable override apparatus is connected to an existing fuel pressure regulator to alter the fuel-to-air mixture fed to fuel injectors. A T-shaped member has a lower end adapted to be connected on the vacuum hose fitting of the regulator and has an outwardly extending hose fitting. A headed plunger slidably contained in the longitudinal bore of the T-shaped member has an elongate lower end extending outwardly from the bottom of the T-shaped member and through the hose fitting of the regulator to engage the top of the diaphragm in the regulator. Vacuum communicates around the plunger between the interior of the T-shaped member and the vacuum chamber of the regulator. An adjustment screw in the top end of the T-shaped member engages a small piston slidably and sealably contained in the longitudinal bore. A compression spring is biased between the piston and the head of the plunger. The vacuum hose is removed from the regulator and the override device is installed on the existing regulator.

  • Patent number: 4870989
Abstract: A high temperature safety relief system for a pressure vessel (10) including a pilot controlled main relief valve (16) and an associated non-flowing pilot valve (34) with high temperature metal or metal like seals for temperatures as high as around 1,000.degree. F. provided for both the main relief valve (16) and pilot valve (34). The main valve body (26) has a main body chamber (48) in fluid communication with the inlet flow passage (45) when the reciprocal piston valve member (88) is in seated closed position. The movement of the piston valve member (88) is cushioned during movement to open position and during movement to closed position. The non-flowing pilot valve (34) has an elongate internal housing (204) receiving the inlet line (36) along its longitudinal axis and the housing (204) is mounted for external rotational adjustment to control the blowdown pressure.

  • Patent number: 4821772
Abstract: A dual active selector valve is set forth. In the preferred and illustrated embodiment, a flange supporting a manifold body is attached to a pressure vessel. The passage through the flange has a selected diameter and the manifold body opens out to a larger diameter, sufficient to enable two valves to be connected side by side, having inlet passages equal in diameter to about one half the selected diameter. A rotatable conduit member is mounted within the manifold body having a centrally located pin for rotation, the rotatable portion incorporating separate flow passages selectively connecting to one of the two alternately deployed valves, and also supporting a valve closure plate to plug the passageway into the valve not being used.
