  • Publication number: 20220296831
Abstract: A breathing control device formed from a regulator having a stem opening and aperture opening. The regulator having a mouthpiece for inhaling and exhaling into a diverter bag coupled to the regulator. The stem opening and aperture opening available to control the amount of ambient air drawn into regulator to regulate the ratio of carbon dioxide to oxygen level drawn from the diverter bag to assist in treating panic and anxiety attacks associated with hyperventilation and migraines. The diverter bag retaining the exhaled breath expelled by the individual for reuse, the aperture opening can be capped to limit all ambient air through the stem opening. The diverter bag becomes a visual focus as exhaled breathing causes the bag to unfold with thought provoking indicia.

  • Patent number: 5751116
Abstract: An apparatus for retrofitting an HID light fixture is described in several embodiments. The apparatus is coupled in series with the secondary winding and the HID lamp of the HID light fixture. A first retrofit capacitor replaces the light fixture capacitor of the HID light fixture. A switching device is coupled in series with a second retrofit capacitor and couples the first and second retrofit capacitors in parallel in response to a normal power mode control input so that the HID lamp provides normal intensity lighting at normal power. The switching device uncouples the first and second retrofit capacitors from being in parallel in response to a low power mode control input so that the HID lamp provides low intensity lighting at low power.

  • Patent number: 4291338
Abstract: An automatic exposure control system is disclosed for TV cameras, particuly those of the active type wherein a pulsed light source provides scene illumination for the camera. The control system includes a major control loop wherein an instantaneous photocathode current signal is time-separated from the total sensor signal of an image tube and integrated to provide a real-time measure of the total instantaneous light input upon the photocathode of the tube. When the total light input reaches a predetermined exposure level, a pulse is generated for gating off the image tube via a high voltage supply therefor so that a constant effective exposure is provided the photocathode. Peak levels of the photoelectron current are used to vary the amount of light entering the system and a conventional video detector is included to regulate the photocathode voltage thereby permitting a relatively constant video output signal to be maintained throughout a wide range of input light conditions.

  • Patent number: 4090088
Abstract: A power management system for controlling the power usage by a plurality of loads in a facility and including a system control unit for monitoring the power consumption of the loads and for generating a control signal when the consumption falls below a low level and when the consumption exceeds a high level, and a load control unit and a plurality of switching modules for receiving the control signal, and based upon eligibility and a preassigned priority ranking, selecting and shutting down one or more of the loads for a first predetermined time period followed by a second predetermined time period during which the load is allowed to run, any shutdown load being designated as ineligible for further shutdowns during the cycle including both of the first and second time periods.
