  • Publication number: 20240184927
Abstract: Messaging protocols used by components in a messaging system to exchange messages conventionally use a reliability mechanism to ensure that each message sent by a sender is received, without compromise, by the intended receiver. Typically, this reliability mechanism involves use of a returned acknowledgement message to the message sender, with automatic retransmission of the message by the sender when the acknowledgement message is not received (e.g. within a defined timeframe). However, existing acknowledgement-based reliability mechanisms require that a sender identifier be included in the message header, which increases the overhead of the message. The present disclosure provides an epoch-based reliability mechanism that allows the sender identifier to be omitted from the message header to minimize overhead and maximize the efficient use of the available bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 11999579
Abstract: The present disclosure provides embodiments of tilt hoists and lumber unstacking systems with a rotation table, a tier alignment system, or both. The rotation table may include a base and a tilt frame supported on the base. The tier alignment system may include an alignment beam and an actuator operable to raise and lower one end of the alignment beam relative to the opposite end to thereby adjust the lateral slope of the spill edge. Optionally, a control system may include distance sensors to detect tiers of lumber as they approach the spill edge and a computer system configured to determine a difference between the lateral slope of the tier and the lateral slope of the spill edge. The computer system may also be configured to automatically adjust the slope of the spill edge to match the slope of the tier before the tier is spilled over the spill edge.

  • Patent number: 12002561
Abstract: A peristaltic pump, and related system method are provided. The peristaltic pump includes a cam shaft, first and second pinch-valve cams, first and second pinch-valve cam followers, a plunger cam, a plunger-cam follower, a tube receiver, and a spring-biased plunger. The first and second pinch-valve cams are coupled to the cam shaft. The first and second pinch-valve cam followers each engage the first and second pinch-valve cams, respectively. The plunger cam is coupled to the cam shaft. The plunger-cam follower engages the plunger cam. The tube receiver is configured to receive a tube. The spring-biased plunger is coupled to the plunger-cam follower such that the expansion of the plunger cam along a radial angle intersecting the plunger-cam follower as the cam shaft rotates pushes the plunger cam follower towards the plunger and thereby disengages the spring-biased plunger from the tube. A spring coupled to the spring-biased plunger biases the spring-biased plunger to apply the crushing force to the tube.
