  • Publication number: 20130247460
Abstract: This invention is related to methods and system for planting and selection. In particular, seeds from transformed plants or transformed explants are evenly dispenses on a pre-determined area using the methods and systems provided. The methods and systems disclosed use a combination of an air-powered or gas-assisted dispensing system to evenly dispense seeds or explants in a high throughput manner. In some embodiments, a 5-16 folds greater density than previous methods can be achieved with the systems and methods disclosed. In some embodiments, the air-powered systems disclosed can be modified from commercially available vacuum pen apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7655514
Abstract: A silicon carbide metal semiconductor field-effect transistor includes a bi-layer silicon carbide buffer for improving electron confinement in the channel region and/or a layer disposed over at least the channel region of the transistor for suppressing surface effects caused by dangling bonds and interface states. Also, a sloped MESA fabrication method which utilizes a dielectric etch mask that protects the MESA top surface during MESA processing and enables formation of sloped MESA sidewalls.

  • Patent number: 7482674
Abstract: An article of manufacture having a substrate having a top surface and a first layer on the top surface. The top surface contains titanium carbide, vanadium carbide, zirconium carbide, niobium carbide, hafnium carbide, tantalum carbide, tungsten carbide, chromium nitride, molybdenum nitride, tungsten nitride, titanium nitride, vanadium nitride, zirconium nitride, or a combination thereof. The first layer contains one or more group III-V metal nitrides.

  • Patent number: 5488052
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel aqueous flowable composition of fenazaquin. It was found that conventional aqueous flowable formulations resulted in a product that lost miticidal activity during storage. The low miticidal activity was found to be due to an unacceptable level of particle size growth during storage. It has been found that an aqueous flowable fenazaquin formulation of satisfactory particle size stability can be made when a higher than normal concentration of sodium naphthalene formaldehyde condensate dispersant is utilized in the formulation.
