  • Patent number: 11172071
Abstract: A computing system of an organization receives data through multiple channels of communication; a programmatic interface for each of the different channel infrastructures may be called to convert data about a user's contact with the system. Contact records for contain data such as a user ID and a channel identifier. An operational database may receive the converted contact records from the devices or software. A transaction application may perform various tasks resulting in the generation of transaction data. A transaction record containing the transaction data may be generated in a message queue or operational database. The interface for the communication channel may convert the transaction data in a message queue, after the transaction data is detected by a listening application that monitors the message queue and logs new transaction data to the operational database.

  • Patent number: 8875511
Abstract: The Geothermal Wind System is a hybrid power production system using geothermal transfer of heat between native rock and an air mass circulating between two or more portals of substantially different vertical elevations by use of the stack effect and the buoyancy of heated air or gravity pulling cooled air to turn one or more wind turbines which drive one or more generators. This wind speed can be improved by use of a venturi valve in close proximity to the turbine(s). A novel example of an aerodynamic, adjustable radial venturi is also herein incorporated. Two modes of the GWS are herein described, one used at shallow depths having geothermal temperatures approximating the average exterior climate, and the second used with geothermal temperatures found at greater depths at substantially higher than outside temperatures. The GWS is a non-polluting, non-carbon burning, non-water-dependent power production system easily implemented in third world countries.

  • Publication number: 20030141680
Abstract: A roller shoe has a pliable bottom. Rear wheels are independently rotatable about a rear axle recessed in the heel portion. A front wheel is rotatable on a front axle recessed in the arch portion. Both axles are removably yet firmly supported partially recessed within wheel housings. Rolling with front and rear wheels on a flat skating surface holds the forward portion of the shoe bottom clear of the skating surface. Tilting forward onto the front wheel alone allows pivoting while rolling. Tilting farther forward brings the forward portion down to sliding, standing or walking contact with the skating surface. Tilting backward onto the rear wheels alone allows pivoting while rolling. Tilting backward in the extreme brings the shoe heel into sliding or resting contact with the skating surface. Wheels are formed of urethane, axles and bearings of steel, shoe of textile or leather, shoe bottom of resinous or rubber material, and wheel housings of strong plastic such as nylon.

  • Patent number: 6160497
Abstract: A display and methodology visually rendering digital data link communications between aircraft and other aircraft or ground stations. The display may be a TCAS type aircraft display residing in the aircraft cockpit visually displaying the digital data link communications. The display may also be used at a ground location, such as at an air traffic control (ATC) center. Visually displaying the digital data link communications allows a pilot to obtain situational awareness by monitoring the digital communications between aircraft, and may be used in combination with or replace monitoring the voice communications being exchanged over the voice channels. In one embodiment, conversation balloons are associated with aircraft symbology on the display. In another embodiment, messages are arranged in the timeline that can be viewed live, or retrieved via the historical representation of previous messages. A scroll bar is provided as a cursor control device to select messages for display.

  • Patent number: 6024971
Abstract: In a method of repelling birds from an area, a fog is formed from a mixture comprising water and a chemical bird aversion agent. Preferably the mixture also includes a dispersant. The water fog can be formed by heating and/or pressurizing the so that it vaporizes. After it is formed, the water fog is directed into the atmosphere toward the birds to be repelled.

  • Patent number: 5672352
Abstract: There is provided by the invention a structure-activity model for identifying avian repellent compounds. It has now been found that certain topological and electronic features of a molecule, especially the presence of a core ring structure, the basicity of the molecule in general, and the electronegativity of the core ring structure, are predictive of its avian repellency. Such features may be used to identify avian repellent compounds and such compounds may be utilized in methods for repelling birds from consuming or utilizing a material. There is further provided by this invention, novel avian repellents for use in methods of repelling birds from consuming or utilizing materials otherwise susceptible to consumption or utilization. Additionally, methods for repelling birds from consuming or utilizing non-potable aquatic habitats are provided herein.
