Abstract: A method for manufacturing a workpiece, such as an automotive fuel tank, that includes a connection between a male connector and a female connector, one of which includes a tab that is only removable following the connection. The tab includes a computer-readable code that is read by the computer. During manufacturing, the workpiece is loaded into a workstation, the connection is made, and the tab is removed. The tab is presented to a computer to verify the connection. In the event that a command is received to release the workpiece and the computer has not verified the connection, the computer issues an alert. In a workstation that comprises a computer-controlled release mechanism, a preferred alert comprises a refusal to release the workpiece prior to verification of the connection.

Abstract: In one aspect of the invention, a method for assembling a fuel delivery system is provided. The method includes providing a reservoir assembly having a reservoir unit. The method also includes thermoforming a first shell portion and a second shell portion of a fuel tank. The method further includes fixing the reservoir assembly to one of the first and second shell portions. The method also includes sealingly connecting the first and second shell portions to form a fuel tank to enclose the reservoir assembly within the fuel tank.

In one construction, the game piece is contained within a closed housing having a plurality of apertures formed through side and end walls to support selectively positioned obstruction pieces which may be positioned by the players in a random or predetermined pattern to provide a plurality of passageways through which the game pieces must pass. In another construction, an open ended housing includes a game piece receiving portion, a player selectable directing portion and a randomizer portion including a plurality of obstruction pieces. In another construction, one or more coins may be semi-permanently contained within the housing. In still other constructions, the housing is constructed in halves, each of which contain integral obstruction pieces which define a plurality of passageways to a plurality of permanently contained game pieces.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for recording prints of digital extremities, and the like, utilizes a transparent print indicia recording medium to record images corresponding to the digits of an individual wherein the record, thus obtained, on the adhesive coated surface of the transparent medium may be sealed to a transparent base and then utilized to generate a plurality of image displaying records which may be easily disseminated and used by others in various postures and manners, e.g., front or back observation of a digit indicia as well as transporation or communication of reproductions of the original records to remote locations and/or storage in typical memory devices such as magnetic tape or the like.

Abstract: Multi-lens slide projection apparatus for displaying transparent fingerprint records in side-by-side and juxtaposed relation to one another. Each lens system is independently mounted on a gimbaled platform having externally accessible tilt and rotation control mechanisms for one or both platforms for varying the relative positions of each platform to the other to orient the projected images without skewing or paralax.

Abstract: Shoe construction is set forth effecting ventilation of the sole portion of the shoe. Air external to the shoe is provided access interiorly thereof by means of a conduit directing such air to a sole portion including a plurality of flexible vane elements formed with openings therein. Normal weight distribution about the weight supportive sole portion of the shoe effects a pumping action by means of the vane elements to enable air to circulate therethrough and ultimately to a user's foot through a porous cushioning layer overlying said sole.

Abstract: A fingerprint, and the like, image-data records keeping system and apparatus provides for image-data review from each side of a transparent carrier base to allow an X-ray type of examination as by viewing an image-data record from the front and back. A method and apparatus for obtaining individual image-data records includes a soft, resilient working surface having low friction surface and a flexible base material coated with adhesive on one side for placement on the portion of a body of which fingerprints, or the like, are to be recorded.
