  • Patent number: 5005740
Abstract: Dishwasher dispensing structure consisting of a reservoir for storing a supply of additive and having an outlet, a cover mounted for movement relative to the reservoir between (a) a closed position and (b) an open position, a trigger mounted movably between a cover block position and a cover release position for selectively maintaining the cover in its closed position and releasing the cover to its open position, a cover release member movable by the timer mechanism through a first prescribed path in response to operation of the timer mechanism in a first direction through a portion of the path during one portion of the operating cycle and to retrace the path portion in a second, opposite direction during another portion of the cycle, trigger moving structure movable in a third path as the cover release member moves through the one portion of the cycle and in a fourth path that substantially retraces the third path as the cover release member moves in the another portion of the cycle, and cooperating structur

  • Patent number: 4805647
Abstract: According to the invention, structure is provided for interconnecting a timer mechanism and dispensing structure associated with a dishwashing apparatus. The timer mechanism has a cam with an associated follower with a free end that is engageable with a portion of an actuating member. In the operating cycle, motion is transmitted from the follower through the actuating member. In a given cycle, the actuating member and follower move in a prescribed path in one direction and retrace the path in a direction opposite to the one direction. Structure is provided to block the actuating member at its extreme position of travel in the one direction and to progressively adjustably interconnect the follower and actuating member as they are moved relative to each other. By so doing, the cam follower can be moved through its path by a manual control knob and engaged with the actuating member, that is blocked at its extreme position of travel in the one direction.

  • Patent number: 4776620
Abstract: According to the invention, a fixed bolt is provided on the door of a dishwashing apparatus and cooperates with a strike plate on a cabinet, against which the door seats in a closed position, to latch the door in the closed position. The strike plate in addition to latching the door, concurrently activates a switch that is fixedly mounted on the door.

  • Patent number: 4765697
Abstract: A dishwasher door includes a molded plastic control console and a molded plastic inner door that are secured to and interlocked on a metal frame to provide torsional rigidity and strength in the upper portion of the dishwasher door. The resultant torsional rigidity and strength in the upper portion of the dishwasher door improves the perceived quality of the door when open and ensures proper registration of the dishwasher door latch when the dishwasher door is closed. The console includes an integrally molded boss configured to receive and latch with an integrally molded projection of the inner door, thereby maintaining the console and inner door in an interlocked relationship. The console also includes a pair of spaced-apart resilient locking tabs for retaining the console in secure engagement with the metal frame.

  • Patent number: 3984112
Abstract: A record player turntable has a substantially flat circular metallic top and an integral substantially cylindrical downwardly extending metallic flange and a resilient mat having a circular top portion covering the aforesaid circular metal top portion and having an integral downwardly extending resilient flange gripping the said metallic flange. The connection between the horizontal metal turntable top and its connected vertically extending flange consists of an integral diagonal web of the metallic flange flared downwardly and outwardly. This web has grooves providing for a lodgment and gripping action on the part of the circular downwardly extending rim of the inverted pan-shaped plastic mat that covers the turntable top and it also forms part of the exposed substantially cylindrical lateral face of the turntable.

  • Patent number: 3973778
Abstract: A pin mounted on the under side of a turntable is used to hold a drive belt also engaged by a drum which is mounted on the turntable and forms a loop. Mounted on a base plate is a drive pulley. This invention solves the problem of how to assemble the turntable on the base plate and end up with the belt engaged on the pulley and the drum. During assembly the turntable is placed over the base plate with the pulley inside the loop. A simple turning of the turntable will cause the belt to tension and slip off the pin onto the pulley.
