  • Patent number: 10145199
Abstract: A rotating control device for a tubular string includes a body, a housing assembly, and a clamp device. An annulus is formed between the body and the tubular string. The housing assembly includes an annular seal configured to seal off an annulus between the tubular string and the body. The clamp device is configured to selectively permit and prevent displacement of the housing assembly relative to the body. The clamp device includes a first clamp section and a second clamp section coupled to and pivotable about a pivot, and a motor positioned between an end of the first clamp section and an end of the second clamp section, wherein the motor is configured to move the ends of the first and second clamp sections relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 9163473
Abstract: An RCD can include a housing assembly which contains a bearing assembly and an annular seal which rotates and seals off an annulus between a tubular string and an RCD body, a remotely operable clamp device which selectively permits and prevents relative displacement between the housing assembly and the body, and a remotely operable safety latch which selectively permits and prevents unclamping of the clamp device. A method of remotely operating an RCD clamp device can include remotely operating a safety latch which selectively permits and prevents unclamping of the clamp device, and remotely operating the clamp device while the safety latch is in an unlatched position, thereby unclamping a bearing housing assembly from the RCD body. Another RCD can include a remotely operable clamp device which selectively permits access to an RCD body interior, and a remotely operable safety latch which selectively prevents unclamping of the clamp device.

  • Patent number: 4567638
Abstract: A wedge-shaped member is provided for facilitating the removal of a dual wheel from a primary wheel of a tractor. The member includes opposite sides which converge towards one end of the member to define a point. A handle is provided for positioning and carrying the member. To remove the dual wheel from the primary wheel, the nuts are removed from the tie-down bolts, and the wedge-shaped member is positioned such that the point thereof is adjacent and between the perimeter of the tires mounted upon the wheels. The tractor is then driven towards the member such that the increased width of the member is forced between the tires to separate the dual wheel from the primary wheel.
