  • Publication number: 20070290381
Abstract: A sparger includes a conduit and a plurality of dispensing tubes extending therefrom. The dispensing tubes can be roll pins. The dispensing tubes can extend into the inner diameter of the conduit. A dissipater can be positioned to interrupt the flow of fluid exiting from the dispensing tubes.

  • Publication number: 20070272617
Abstract: A system for processing a composition of sand and animal waste includes a first separation tank receiving water from a water source and receiving the composition from a transport. The composition and the water are mixed in the first separation tank to form a liquefied animal waste and sand combination, and to separate and collect the sand from the resulting liquefied animal waste. The liquefied animal waste and the collected sand are separately removed from the first separation tank, and the recovered sand may be reused while the liquefied waste is supplied to a waste storage or processing location. The system may include a second separation tank operable identically to the first separation tank, and control of the two separation tanks may be coordinated such that one of the tanks is being filled while the other is being emptied.

  • Publication number: 20070227971
Abstract: A method for flocculating microorganisms is described. The method comprises the steps of contacting the microorganisms with a cationic flocculating agent, contacting the microorganisms with an anionic flocculating agent, and flocculating the microorganisms. A method for sedimenting microorganisms is also described. The method comprises the steps of contacting the microorganisms with a cationic flocculating agent, contacting the microorganisms with an anionic flocculating agent, flocculating the microorganisms, and sedimenting the microorganisms. Also described are the flocculated microorganisms produced by the described methods and an animal feed supplement and a feed composition containing these flocculated microorganisms. The flocculated microorganisms can be, for example, yeast, bacteria, fungi, mycoplasma, and combinations thereof.

  • Publication number: 20070221552
Abstract: A system for processing a biomaterial waste stream includes a waste fermentation system for converting the biomaterial waste stream to fermenting organism and a residual liquid. The waste fermentation system has a waste inlet port (LWI) receiving the biomaterial waste stream, a product outlet port (PO) for removing the fermenting organism and a liquid outlet (RLO) for removing the residual liquid. A number of sensors produce sensory information relating to operation of the waste fermentation system, and at least one control circuit monitors the sensory information and controls operation of the waste fermentation system by controlling one or more actuators associated with the waste fermentation system.

  • Publication number: 20070218541
Abstract: A method is described for treating a biomaterial waste stream to remove pollutants and to generate a product. The method comprises the steps of injecting the biomaterial waste stream into a waste fermentation system, contacting the biomaterial waste stream with a microorganism, and subjecting the biomaterial waste stream to conditions conducive to aerobic fermentation of the biomaterial waste stream. The microorganism can be artificially flocculated, and the microorganism is the product generated from the method.

  • Publication number: 20070175825
Abstract: A process for treating a biomaterial waste stream is described. The process may form part of a waste fermentation system. The treating process can degrade at least a portion of the biomaterial waste stream into other components or materials. These other components or materials may be reintroduced into a fermentation process as a nutrient for a fermenting organism.
