    Abstract: Alpha-olefins are polymerized in the presence of a catalyst which is the catalytic reaction product of(A) the reaction product or complex formed by mixing at a temperature for a time sufficient to provide a color change(a) a transition metal compound having at least one hydrocarbyloxy group attached to said transition metal and(b) a boron compound;(B) a magnesium halide resulting from the reaction of(a) an organomagnesium component and(b) a halide source; and(C) an organoaluminum compound, if required.
