  • Patent number: 8956582
Abstract: There is provided a hydrometallurgical process of recovering rhenium values from mixtures thereof with other metal values in which the rhenium values constitute a minority amount, for example super-alloys, which comprises subjecting the mixture to strongly oxidizing acid conditions, preferably an aqueous mixture of hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, so as to form perrhenate species of at least the major proportion of the rhenium values in the mixture, dissolving the perrhenate species and other soluble metal species in aqueous solution, removing insoluble metal species from the aqueous solution, and isolating the rhenium species from the solution.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 11, 2010
Date of Patent: February 17, 2015
    Assignee: Maritime House Metals Inc.
Inventors: Cesare G. Ferron, Larry E. Seeley

  • Patent number: 5724963
Abstract: A portable filter for a compressed air system is described. The filter is intended to be worn by an operator, and contains a diverter valve whereby air from a remote air compressor enters the filter, and is divided into a flow to a work line, and a regulated flow to a conventional respirator mask to provide breathing air to the operator. The air diverted to the operator passes through a three-stage filter consisting of elements in series which are designed to both remove impurities from the air, and register excessive moisture content therein as a warning to the operator. The flow to the work line is typically a five foot line to an air-driven implement such as a paint sprayer or the like.

  • Patent number: 3942680
Abstract: The apparatus includes in one form an attachment for a conventional spray paint container comprised of an arcuately shaped receptacle having inner and outer walls and a bottom wall defining an arcuate chamber. An elastic band is secured to opposite ends of the receptacle to releasably secure the latter about the neck of the spray paint container with the inner wall of the receptacle in close fitting relation about the neck. The open upper end of the receptacle lies at an elevation flush with or below the upper edge of the container for collecting paint leaked between the container and its lid and/or from the vent hole in the lid. In one form, the receptacle extends about the neck for less than 180.degree. and slots are provided in the elastic band for receiving the diametrically opposed outwardly projecting pins carried by the neck of the conventional paint container. In another form, the receptacle extends circumferentially a distance greater than 180.degree.
