Abstract: A mechanism is described for facilitating fast access and use of common data values relating to applications in parallel computing environments. A method of embodiments, as described herein, includes detecting a software application being hosted by a computing device, where the software application is further detected as accessing common data values. The method may further include determining whether access to the common data values is slow, and accessing an existing compiled program specific to the common data values at a database, if the access to the common data values is slow. The method may further include loading the existing compiled program to be executed by a processor at the computing device, where the existing compiled program to replace an originally compiled program.

Abstract: Systems and methods may provide for populating a B plus tree with a relatively large set of data wherein, in response to a display request associated with the set of data, one or more visibility parameters may be identified. In addition, a hierarchical sampling scheme may be used to identify one or more sample points in the B plus tree based on the visibility parameters. Moreover, the sample points can be used to obtain sample data from the B plus tree, wherein a display response is generated based on the sample data.

Abstract: A method for color conversion is disclosed. The method includes the steps of generating constants from a number of points, spacing and an endpoint for YUV point spacing, adding a constant to a value representing image data to clamp the value towards a predetermined maximum range of image points, subtracting a second constant from the resulting sum value to clamp the sum value towards a predetermined minimum range representing points in an image graph, shifting the resulting difference using spacing information to generate a value for Y,U,V values, and combining the resultant Y,U,V values to generate palette indexes to represent given image data.
