    Abstract: A ticket processing device for use on a mass transportation vehicle. A housing, has a substantially horizontal top, provided with an opening therein for receiving a stack of flat cards, and a slot, for accommodating tickets, at said top of said housing spaced from said openings. Within the housing is a U-shaped pathway having a central axis, the central axis of the pathway being linear through a first, vertical portion thereof adjacent to the opening, an elongated cartridge, for accommodating said stack of flat cards, disposed within the first, vertical portion of the pathway. The cartridge has a slot on one sidewall, adjacent the bottom of said cartridge, for permitting the lowest card in the stack at a given time to be expelled.

    Abstract: An identification system for guaranteeing that a cash box adapted to receive revenue from an associated fare box is delivered to an authorized location; the system includes a transmitter as part of the cash box for generating a coded series of pulses uniquely identifying the particular cash box; a receiver is included as part of the fare box for receiving that coded series of pulses; a microcomputer connected to the output of the receiver reads and decodes the coded series of pulses to provide the identification number for the particular cash box; the microcomputer also stores the cash box number in its memory; further provided is an arrangement for selectively varying the coded series of pulses so as to uniquely identify each of a group of cash boxes.

    Abstract: An electronic interlock for providing improved security in a revenue collection receptacle includes a mechanism on a removable cash container for generating a coded electronic signal which is coupled to a mechanism for decoding the coded signal mounted to the receptacle, and a mechanism responsive to the decoding mechanism which prevents revenue from being transferred to the cash container unless the decoding mechanism detects the presence of the coded electronic signal.
