  • Patent number: 4063794
Abstract: An electrical connector for storage battery posts stamped and formed from a coplanar sheet of conducting material. A plurality of tabs are bent from either side of the strip of material to form a plurality of C-shaped spring members. The opposing spring members have dissimilar radii so that after the strip is formed into a circular shape, the inner surface is tapered to fit the trapezoidal configuration of the posts.

  • Patent number: 3990143
Abstract: The invention relates to a terminal and a method for terminating an electrical wire therein. The terminal employs a wire barrel having a asymmetrical pattern of cavities into which the wire is extruded. The method provides optimum electrical contact through high level deformation and maximum tensile strength through low level deformation.

  • Patent number: 3937548
Abstract: This invention relates to a device for splicing two wires together whereby such splice can be disconnected and the device reused. More particularly the invention provides a single elongated housing of insulating material and a one piece contact strip encased therein. The strip contains a spring member and apertured frames which receive the wire conductors. Upon forcing depressed steps on the strip into slots in the housing the apertures are deformed into electrical and mechanical contact with the conductors. The spring member retains the force thereon until release by means of a releasing tool.

  • Patent number: 3931671
Abstract: This invention relates to a terminal locator and retainer device for use in crimping dies. More particularly the device consists of a molded block of resilient material which contains locating means for accurately positioning the terminal and retaining means for holding the terminal and wire being terminated without need for external support. Further, the device provides a dynamic means for preventing terminal bowing.
