Abstract: An injector for injecting a swirling oxidant around a fossil fuel into a shaft furnace has a converging nozzle to improve combustion of the fossil fuel and reduce carbon soot formation. Fossil fuels, for example pulverized coal, may be introduced into the blast passageway and/or raceway cavity of a shaft furnace such as a blast furnace or cupola, to reduce the amount of coke needed for operation. Oxidant, which may be industrial grade oxygen, is swirled around the fossil fuel through a converging nozzle to improve the combustion of the fossil fuel thereby permitting increased substitution of fossil fuel for coke.

Abstract: Events and tags are assigned to recorded multimedia content through the use of different tools and interfaces to segment the content as well as to provide commentary corresponding to the content and/or to reference other content. One interface includes a timeline corresponding to the multimedia content, which is displayed with a selected combination of tags and events. The tags and events are visually distinguishable within the timeline from other tags and events by their respective colors and graphical representations. Events and tags can be filtered and sorted according to various parameters and characteristics. Some events and tags can also be shared for use on different computing systems with the same or different multimedia content.
