  • Patent number: 4327945
Abstract: A transporter or vehicle for articles having a container for receiving articles to be transported. A frame assembly supports the container on a chassis. Guides extend vertically upwardly from the chassis for guiding vertical translation of the frame, and the frame is pivotally connected to an upper portion of the container so that the container is rotatable about one of its side edges. Piston-cylinder units are interconnected between fore and aft portions of the chassis and the container in such manner that initial movement of the pistons out of the cylinders vertically translates the interconnected frame and container. After the frame and container have reached a predetermined height, continued movement of the pistons out of the cylinders results in pivoting of the container with respect to the frame to thereby dump the contents of the container.

  • Patent number: 3963138
Abstract: A trailer vehicle having a storage bin for storing a large quantity of cane seed piece segments is disclosed with removal conveyor means carrying the cane segments forwardly to first and second distribution conveyors which convey cane segments to opposite sides of the vehicle where they are deposited on dropping conveyors extending along each side of the vehicle which drop the can segments into furrows beneath the dropping conveyors; rotary levelling means are provided above the distribution and dropping conveyors for providing an even feeding of the cane segments and orientation of the cane segments is maintained by flexible rubber curtain members through which the cane segments fall from the dropping conveyors into the furrow.

  • Patent number: 3946875
Abstract: A vehicle mounted cane cleaning apparatus is disclosed including a large drum having inwardly facing conveyor pockets mounted for rotation about a horizontal front-to-rear axis on a tracked vehicle; cane segments are hurled from a conventional segmentizer into a lower portion of the drum against a shroud plate and rotating perforated cylinder across which a trash removing airflow is provided by blower means. Rotation of the drum carries the can upwardly to a location at which it falls downwardly in a cascade of segments across which a fan driven airflow extends for removing remaining additional trash particles with the cleaned cane segments falling on conveyor means carrying the segments rearwardly and then transversely to a receiving vehicle.
