  • Publication number: 20240161899
Abstract: A pump for administering an agent to a patient includes a housing, a motor, a gearbox, a sensor, and a controller. The motor may be coupled to housing. The gearbox is operatively connected to the motor. The sensor senses a rotation of the motor. The controller acts to control operation of the motor and monitor the quantity of the agent delivered to the patient. The pump also includes a pump assembly such that the pump is configured such that the pump assembly may be interchangeable from a syringe pump assembly and a peristaltic pump assembly.

  • Publication number: 20240133513
Abstract: A clamp includes a fixed gripper, a moveable gripper, a driven member, an actuator, and first and second tracks. The driven member is configured to slide within the first and second tracks. The moveable gripper is operatively coupled to the driven member. The actuator is configured to move the driven member towards a first position to thereby move the moveable gripper towards the fixed gripper. The actuator is further configured to move the driven member towards a second position to thereby move the moveable gripper away from the fixed gripper.

  • Patent number: 11964126
Abstract: A wearable infusion pump assembly includes a reservoir for receiving an infusible fluid, and an external infusion set configured to deliver the infusible fluid to a user. A fluid delivery system is configured to deliver the infusible fluid from the reservoir to the external infusion set. The fluid delivery system includes a volume sensor assembly, and a pump assembly for extracting a quantity of infusible fluid from the reservoir and providing the quantity of infusible fluid to the volume sensor assembly. The volume sensor assembly is configured to determine the volume of at least a portion of the quantity of fluid. The fluid delivery system further includes at least one optical sensor assembly configured to sense the movement of the pump assembly, a first valve assembly configured to selectively isolate the pump assembly from the reservoir, and a second valve assembly configured to selectively isolate the volume sensor assembly from the external infusion set.

  • Publication number: 20240115804
Abstract: A pump for pumping fluid includes a tube platen, a plunger, a bias member, inlet and outlet valves, an actuator mechanism, a position sensor, and a processor. The plunger is configured for actuation toward and away from the infusion-tube when the tube platen is disposed opposite to the plunger. The tube platen can hold an intravenous infusion tube. The bias member is configured to urge the plunger toward the tube platen.

  • Publication number: 20240082487
Abstract: A syringe pump includes a lead screw, a cam, and a grasper. The grasper assembly has first and second graspers arms each having a first end and a second end. The second ends of the first and second grasper arms are configured to engage with the lead screw. The first ends of the first and second grasper arms are configured to engage with the cam such that actuation of the cam toward the grasper assembly causes the second ends of the first and second grasper arms to pivotally approach each other. The second ends of the first and second grasper arms each includes threads to engage the lead screw when the second ends of the first and second grasper arms approach each other. The plunger head coupled to said grasper assembly and operative to drive a plunger of a syringe into a barrel of said syringe.

  • Patent number: 4562968
Abstract: A pneumatic spreader for the distribution of materials and a flow distributor for same are disclosed. The spreader includes a distribution chamber having multiple compartments with a gas inlet and material outlet defining a venturi in each of the compartments. The materials are discharged from the distribution chamber and its compartments through first conduits coupled to the respective material outlets and a plurality of second conduits communicating with each of the first conduits for receiving the materials and discharging them to the ground. A flow distributor adjacent the juncture of the first and second conduits equally divides the materials in the first conduit between the second conduits. The flow distributor includes a substantially circular plate having a plurality of openings which communicate to the second conduits and a substantially conical deflector which is adjustable both linearly and is eccentrically rotatable for adjusting the flow between the plate openings.

  • Patent number: 4288034
Abstract: A vehicle mounted spray boom assembly includes a breakaway spray boom and shock absorbing means for absorbing the shock on the boom assembly when a boom returns to normal position after striking an obstacle. The shock absorbing means includes a swing cylinder for rigging in and rigging out the spray boom and a tilt cylinder for tilting the boom when the boom has been rigged out. Upon occurrence of shock after an obstacle is struck, a portion of the hydraulic fluid in the swing cylinder is forced into the tilt cylinder to lift the spray boom to dissipate the shock. In addition, another cylinder may be provided for absorbing shock imparted to the boom due to vertical movement of the boom. Also the swing cylinder and tilt cylinder are hydraulically connected in parallel so that when rig out has been completed, pressurized hydraulic fluid continues to be ported to the tilt cylinder to elevate the end of the boom.
