Abstract: A colorant dispenser for dispensing colorant is disclosed having a primary valve and a secondary, outlet control valve. The primary valve is shiftable from a closed position, whereby colorant is prevented from being dispensed from a reservoir, to an open position whereby colorant is permitted to be dispensed from the reservoir. The secondary valve is positioned downstream of the primary valve, and is adapted to permit colorant flow when the primary valve is in its open position in response to pressure from the colorant flow and to restrict colorant flow and drying of colorant downstream of the primary valve and upstream of the secondary valve when the primary valve is in its closed position.
