  • Publication number: 20080043770
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for storing messages using multiple communication modalities, in which a first communication is received from a first communication system. One embodiment of a method includes receiving a message in a first protocol and converting the message from the first protocol to the second protocol. Some embodiments include storing the converted message in a temporary mailbox created for storing messages of the second protocol, sending the converted message to a storage component associated with the second protocol, and destroying the temporary mailbox.

  • Publication number: 20070168490
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for publishing content over a network. Briefly described, in architecture, one embodiment of the system, among others, can be implemented as follows. The system includes an instant messaging module configured to generate a request for creation of a base uniform resource locator from an instant messaging server and configured to receive the base uniform resource locator. The instant messaging module is further configured to form an enhanced uniform resource locator by adding information to the base uniform resource locator to identify content stored on a local machine hosting the instant messaging module. The system also includes a local web server module configured to deliver the content stored on the local machine identified by the enhanced uniform resource locator, where the local machine hosts the local web server module. Other systems and methods are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20070143430
Abstract: A method of routing messages may include providing a listener registry of a plurality of listeners and associated namespaces so that at least one namespace is associated with each of the plurality of listeners. A message may be received from an originating application, and the message may include a message namespace. The message may be stored in a message queue, and a determination may be made to determine if a listener from the listener registry is associated with the message namespace. If no listener from the listener registry is associated with the message namespace, the message may be stored in a parked message queue separate from the message queue. After the message has been in the parked message queue for a predetermined period of time, the message may be deleted from the parked message queue.

  • Publication number: 20060248157
Abstract: Systems for forwarding an E-mail message to a user when instant messages from a sender cannot be forwarded to a secondary IM processing device comprise a primary IM processing device configured to send and receive E-mail messages and a router configured to route E-mail messages between the primary IM processing device and a sender's processing device. An E-mail user agent is coupled to the router and configured to provide access to E-mail information including an address of the sender such that an E-mail message can be sent to the sender's processing device. The router is further configured to receive notification at the primary IM processing device of a reply from the sender's processing device. Other systems and methods are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20060133585
Abstract: Systems for translating text messages in an instant messaging system comprise a translation engine for translating text messages into a preferred language of a recipient of the text messages. The systems are configured to send and receive the text messages and to determine whether the text messages that are received in a source language are in the preferred language of the recipients so that the text messages are displayed in the preferred language of the recipients of the text messages. Other systems and methods are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20060062369
Abstract: An intelligent remote caller identification system is provided that typically includes a central office, a service control point, and an internet call routing system. The central office typically triggers a query responsive to receiving a call request. The service control point is coupled to the central office, receives the query, and triggers an internet call routing query. The internet call routing system is coupled to the service control point and typically receives the internet call routing query, determines the presence of the called party with respect to a registered communication device, and sends an internet-based message to the called party at the registered communication device in response to the presence determination. Methods and other systems are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050152527
Abstract: A rule-based intelligent call forwarding system is provided that typically includes a central office, a service control point, and an internet call routing system. The central office typically triggers a query responsive to receiving a call request. The service control point, which is coupled to the central office, receives the query, and triggers an internet call routing query. The internet call routing system, which is coupled to the service control point, typically receives the internet call routing query, determines presence of the called party with respect to a registered communication device, parses rules associated with the called party, and terminates the call request responsive to the rules parsing and presence determination. Methods and other systems are also provided.
