  • Patent number: 4714578
Abstract: A method and apparatus for manufacturing a centrifugally cast pipe for use in a chemical and corrosive atmosphere is provided. The centrifugally cast pipe has an integrally cast socket or coupling at one end of the pipe. The socket is cast onto the pipe. At the same time that the pipe is cast, both socket and pipe are cured simultaneously, creating a homogeneous wall from body to socket through the transition zone.
