In one embodiment, the instant invention comprises a device that filters runoff, preventing unwanted chemicals and debris from entering the sewer system. The device comprises a sewer seal that forms a liquid seal to trap hydrocarbons, such as oil, and prevent odors from leaking from the sewer system, while still allowing water to flow through the system. The trap is removable, allowing for easy cleaning, replacement, and maintenance.
