    Abstract: A light field display for generating glasses-free, continuous 3D images is provided. The light field display has a horizontal retro-reflective display screen with a microstructured surface having an array of narrowly-spaced, ninety-degree microstructures, and a vertical diffuser having an array of narrowly-spaced, randomly-patterned microstructures. The vertical diffuser is joined to the horizontal retro-reflective display screen to form a light field display for use in front-projection display systems.
