  • Patent number: 9463967
Abstract: An improved small vehicle lift having an automatically engaging ratchet mechanism that functions to fix the lift at one of a plurality of lift height positions. A pair of generally identical toothed ratchet plates are affixed to lower link members which form the parallelogram linkage, and which that are pivotally connected to the center support post. The support comprises a generally hollow ember having opposing sides each defining longitudinally disposed slotted apertures. A catch is retained by a carrier riding within the support and is received within said slotted apertures and projects laterally from the center support post. The catch is spring biased to an upper position such that the catch will automatically engage the toothed ratchet plate.

  • Publication number: 20060006254
Abstract: A sprinkler device comprising a sprinkler body having a longitudinal center axis, an inlet at one end and an outlet nozzle at an opposite end; and a rotor plate supported axially spaced and laterally offset from the outlet nozzle; the rotor plate mounted for orbital motion about the longitudinal axis and for rotation about a second axis offset from the longitudinal center axis, the rotor plate having grooves formed therein arranged to cause the distribution plate to rotate about the second axis when a stream emitted from the nozzle impinges on the plate, which, in turn, causes the rotor plate to orbit about the longitudinal center axis.

  • Patent number: 6485245
Abstract: A grain kit enables an agricultural forage box to also be used for handling grain. The kit includes a collector that mounts over the rear end of the forage box. The forage box rear gate may be held at a fixed slightly open position by the coaction of tabs on the rear gate and holding brackets fastened to the forage box side walls. The grain flows into the collector, from which it is discharged in a controlled stream through a floor opening. The discharge of the grain from the collector floor opening is controlled by a door. Apron chains on the forage box are controlled to suit the rate of discharge of the grain from the collector. A sweep brushes grain from the return runs of the apron chains. In a modified embodiment, an adjustment mechanism on the collector changes the pivoting of the rear gate.

  • Patent number: 5501404
Abstract: An improved manure spreader has two augers that lie in respective channels in the floor of the manure spreader box. The augers are journaled only at the front end of the box. Center and side holddowns overlie portions of the auger peripheries to restrain the augers from rising out of the channels. The augers propel material to a discharge opening in the box back wall. One or two rapidly rotating expellers on the outside of the box discharge opening receive the material and fling it onto the ground. The expellers may rotate about vertical or horizontal axes. A gate is slidable within the box back wall to selectively open and close the discharge opening. A breakup bar is pivotally connected between the gate and a cross brace in the box. Raising and lowering the gate simultaneously opens and closes the discharge opening and pivots the breakup bar. The breakup bar penetrates material in the box to thereby prevent bridging of the material over the augers.
