Patent number: 9516958Abstract: A food shield has shield panels that are location adjustable and angularly adjustable in respect of support structures (posts) that are coupled to a mounting surface, such as a surface of a buffet table or cart. For vertical or location adjustment of a shield panel in relation to a post, a bracket assembly includes outer and inner collar portions, a grip element positioned between the outer and inner collar portions, and a tightening element that tightens the connection of the assembled collar against support posts. For angular adjustment, each bracket assembly includes an indexing base, a rotatable arm assembly with an indexing hub, and a removable or retractable coupling element. Alternative bracket assemblies provide support elements that contact one face of the shield panel, in addition to having clamps that engage the shield panel at or near each of the front and rear panel edges.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2016Date of Patent: December 13, 2016Assignee: Metal Masters Foodservice Equipment Company, Inc.Inventors: Larry N. Patent number: 8025163Abstract: A wall mounted shelving unit comprises a pair of shelf supporting wall mounting brackets, each including an upright rear segment and an upright front segment with horizontal crosspieces extending between and connected to the rear and front segments of each bracket. Each crosspiece includes a pair of spaced apart upwardly extending loops or a pair of spaced apart downward extending troughs, and a rear segment of each bracket includes loops for attachment to a wall. Wire shelves rest on the crosspieces, and the upwardly extending loops engage wires on the shelves to prevent relative movement between the shelves and the brackets. Alternatively, the shelf includes downwardly extending shelf trusses that rest in the troughs of the crosspieces.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2008Date of Patent: September 27, 2011Assignee: Metal Masters Foodservice Equipment Co., Inc.Inventors: Larry N. Patent number: 6253687Abstract: Shelf retaining collars function to releasably attach shelving to a plurality of vertical support posts. Each collar has an open front face for placement of the collars around the support posts. Also, each shelf retaining collar has a frusto-conical interior surface, and a pair of upwardly extending shelf supporting hooks that extend outwardly from the open front face. When the shelf retaining collars are attached to the support posts the hooks engage and support the shelving. Such shelving may be mounted horizontally or angularly, if desired.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 1998Date of Patent: July 3, 2001Assignee: Metal Masters Food Service Equipment Co.Inventor: Larry N. Patent number: 5868263Abstract: A wall mounted storage system includes at least one pair of spaced apart vertical hanger bars for attachment to a studded wall or comparable structure. At least one removable shelf support bracket is associated with each hanger bar, and the bracket is removably connected to the bar at any one of a plurality of vertical locations along the bar. A shelf is supported by the brackets and releasably attached thereto by rear hooks on the brackets that hook over the rear rail of the shelf. An upwardly extending retainer loop on each bracket extends through the shelf and engages the front rail thereof. The hooks and loops on the shelf brackets interact with the shelf to positively secure the shelf in place and prevent it from tipping or shifting forward or sideways. Horizontal spacing of the hanger bars is not critical and the shelf may be releasably secured to the brackets even when the horizontal distance between the bars varies from one location to another.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 1996Date of Patent: February 9, 1999Assignee: Metal Masters Foodservice & Equipment Co., Inc.Inventors: Larry N. McAllister, William L. Bartz, Jr., John D. Poore

Patent number: 5680942Abstract: An overhead track high density storage system is formed by connecting an overhead track to the top posts of stationary storage units, thereby holding the track above a horizontal support surface, such as the floor. Movable storage units, such as shelves mounted on casters, are positioned between the stationary storage units. Guide roller means attached to the top of the movable storage units are received within the track so that translational movement of the movable storage unit is confined to a path defined by the track. The guide roller means include a center guide roller and at least one side guide roller mounted for rotational movement to a guide roller support channel. Each caster is locked into a directional position to prevent swiveling with a single caster alignment clip, which includes upstanding fingers defining a slot therebetween. The slot of the clip engages a portion of the movable storage unit, such as a support rod in a truss of a wire shelf that forms a part of the movable storage unit.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 1995Date of Patent: October 28, 1997Assignee: Metal Masters Foodservice Equipment Co., Inc.Inventors: Larry N. McAllister, John D. Poore, William L. Bartz, Jr.

Patent number: 5390803Abstract: A reinforced shelf mountable to spaced apart vertical support posts by a plurality of collars generally forming the corners of the shelf is provided. The shelf is formed by a plurality of transverse members, such as wires, attached, such as by welding, to a plurality of longitudinal members. The transverse members and longitudinal members at the outer edges of the shelf are connected to the collars. At the front edge of the shelf, a load bearing truss is provided that features (a) the longitudinal member; (b) a longitudinal bar, spaced apart from the longitudinal member, attached at its ends to the collars; (c) a serpentine member, having upper and lower bends, attached at its upper bends to the longitudinal member at the front edge of the shelf and at its lower bends to the longitudinal bar; and (d) a reinforcing bar attached at its ends to the collars and attached along its length at points of contact to the end portions of the transverse members.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 1993Date of Patent: February 21, 1995Assignee: Metal Masters Food Service Equipment Co., Inc.Inventor: Larry N. Patent number: 5165349Abstract: A worktable has recessed leg gussets on the underside of the table top for supporting the legs of the table in a manner that eliminates pivot points where the legs are connected to the top. The underside of the table top has inverted hat-shaped channel frames secured thereto where the table legs are to be located. A leg gusset at each leg location extends through an opening in the inverted hat-shaped channel frame, and the gusset is upwardly recessed into the channel frame. The upper end of the gusset is secured to a plate connected between opposite sides of the channel frame while the middle section of the gusset is secured to the channel frame at the opening therein. The table legs are simply inserted into the gussets when the worktable is assembled.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 1991Date of Patent: November 24, 1992Assignee: Metal Masters Foodservice Equipment Co.Inventor: Larry N.
