Abstract: A splash deflector for cooking containers is disclosed which includes an annular shaped deflecting member for preventing liquids from being splashed out of the container. Means are provided for releasably mounting the deflector to the container in a manner to provide a substantially liquid tight seal yet to also allow quick removal of the deflector. A supporting member is also disclosed for supporting a lid thereby to create a closed container cooking environment.
