Abstract: The present invention provides a system and methodology for allowing multiple parties in different locations to create and maintain a grouping of related files and information and make the information available to end-users over the Internet. The system breaks each web page into regions or screen space areas and then assigns exclusive access rights to each region. A single page may be made up of one or two to a multiple of regions. Each region is controlled by a different content provider and is created, updated and maintained separately from the rest of the data holding regions on the page. Information that appears in one region may appear on other regions on other pages, thus allowing the controller of the screen space to make a single update and have the update appear throughout the site or sites. Through the assignment of regions, it is impossible for one user to overwrite another user's data that is located in a different screen space area.
