  • Patent number: 7240963
Abstract: A security handrail system having a plurality of vertical post members securable in a vertical orientation to a stratum, the vertical post members intersected by a plurality of horizontal cross members, there being articulatingly secured between adjacent vertical post members, an articulating seat member rotatable from a vertical position flush with the plane of the handrail security system to a substantially horizontal plane allowing a user to orient himself in a sitting position for a temporary period of time. The seat member is capable of being formed with a biasing means, automatically returning the seat member to a vertical orientation when weight is removed.

  • Patent number: 6203233
Abstract: An expansion joint for connection of intersecting members of a plastic railing system, the expansion joint having a tubular collar having a male structural member positioned therein and secured to one intersecting tubular member, the second intersecting tubular member slidably receivable within the tubular collar and about the male structural member, the tubular collar having one end having a coped surface for cooperable mating with the exterior surface of the first intersecting tubular member so as to provide a structurally secure connection between the intersecting tubular members yet allow for the thermal expansion and contraction of one intersecting tubular member.

  • Patent number: 5220841
Abstract: An electromagnetic fluid flow transducer formed from an electromagnetic assembly having two electromagnet units and a tubular flow contact assembly to measure fluid flow velocity and fluid volume in ionic solutions. Each electromagnet unit includes a core and a winding on the core, and a housing maintains the electromagnet units and their cores and windings in a predetermined relationship with each other. A plurality of electrode receptacles are formed in the housing proximate the flux field created by the electromagnetic assembly. The tubular flow contact assembly includes a tubular member, and four conductive electrodes positioned in and extending from the internal surface of the tubular member where fluid flow occurs.
