  • Publication number: 20120073792
Abstract: A waste heat reclamation apparatus for reclaiming combustion gases from a heating unit. The apparatus includes a flue section that engages the given heating unit's flue stack and selectively bypasses flue gases into a bypass section of the apparatus. The bypass section includes a fluid jacket for heat transfer of waste heat in the flue gases to a heat absorbing fluid of a fluid-based heating system. The bypass section and flue section route flue gases by way of offset conduits which promotes swirling action of the flue gases within the bypass section. The fluid jacket also includes baffles which promote mixing of the heat absorbing fluid along a circuitous path. The swirling action and mixing in the circuitous path increase the efficiency of heat transfer without adding mechanical complexity to the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20100270524
Abstract: An equine fence system fabricated of high density polyethylene having a plurality of vertical support posts embedded in the ground, there being a plurality of horizontal rail members extending between adjacent vertical posts, the horizontal rail members having a spiral electrically conductive wire embedded just below the surface of the horizontal rail to discourage contact between the horse and rail, the horizontal rails having an additional stiffener and support member longitudinally positioned within the horizontal rail to provide additional support for the horizontal rail and permit the use of longer horizontal rails therefore increasing the distance between vertical posts and reducing costs and maintenance.

  • Publication number: 20060186389
Abstract: A security handrail system having a plurality of vertical post members securable in a vertical orientation to a stratum, the vertical post members intersected by a plurality of horizontal cross members, there being articulatingly secured between adjacent vertical post members, an articulating seat member rotatable from a vertical position flush with the plane of the handrail security system to a substantially horizontal plane allowing a user to orient himself in a sitting position for a temporary period of time. The seat member is capable of being formed with a biasing means, automatically returning the seat member to a vertical orientation when weight is removed.

  • Publication number: 20060065885
Abstract: These and other objects of the present invention are accomplished by a structural post assembly for a thermoplastic railing system in which a tubular metal support column is secured to the substrate upon which thermoplastic railing system is mounted by means of a base plate, the support column being internally threaded at its upper end, a slidably rotatable base rail connector of one piece construction having a segmented cylindrical core defining an aperture is slidably receivable over the support column and positioned at the lower end proximate the base plate thereof, and an adjustable upper rail connector generally cubic in shape positioned proximate the upper end of the metal support column, the adjustable upper rail connector and base connector adjustable for the slidable receipt of a thermoplastic sheath, the thermoplastic sheath being locked in position by a threaded fastener through the adjustable upper rail connector and into the internally threaded aperture of the support column thereby fixing the ve

  • Patent number: 4760812
Abstract: A pulley block system for releasable attachment to a sheet end and requiring no overhang beyond the sheet end. There is a first pulley block assembly having planar, parallel, spaced side portions and including a first pulley roller rotatably mounted between the side portions of the first pulley block assembly so that a line can pass over the first pulley roller. There is also a second pulley block assembly having planar, parallel, spaced side portions and including a second pulley roller rotatably mounted between the side portions of the second pulley block assembly so that a line can pass over the second pulley roller; and, interlocking apparatus for passing through the sheet to releasably interconnect the first and second pulley block assemblies with the sheet attached to and between the first and second pulley block assemblies.
