The method also includes determining whether an item of merchandise has been added to or removed from a respective display position based on a change in the preselected characteristic.

For example, the security device comprises an alarm unit and a first connector electrically coupled to the alarm unit and configured to releasably engage the article of merchandise. The security device further comprises a second connector electrically coupled to the alarm unit. The second connector is configured to releasably engage an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) power supply cable such that the alarm unit is disposed between a source of electric power and the article of merchandise, and the power supply cable is configured to provide power to both the alarm unit and the article of merchandise. The alarm unit is configured to at least one of activate an alarm in the event that the first connector is removed from the article of merchandise or the second connector is removed from the power supply cable.

    Abstract: A counter display includes a pedestal adapted to be positioned on a support surface and at least one lockable display arm for securely displaying items of merchandise suspended from the display arm. The display arm has an elongate rod for supporting the items of merchandise thereon and a mounting end for mounting the display arm on the pedestal. The rod has a free end opposite the mounting end for loading the items of merchandise on the rod and for removing the items of merchandise from the rod. An end assembly is disposed on the display arm adjacent the free end of the rod and is movable between a locked position for preventing items of merchandise from being removed from the rod and an unlocked position for permitting items of merchandise to be removed from the rod. A lock mechanism releasably locks the end assembly on the display arm. Another lock mechanism releasably locks the display arm on the pedestal.

A spout cover is removably fitted on the top opening of the drinking spout. A flexible tether is connected to the spout cover and to the cap assembly or the bottle. The tether is looped unto itself permitting the spout cover and a portion of the tether to be extended to reach the top opening and to be retracted withdrawing the spout cover to a position remote from the drinking spout.

    Abstract: A personal, portable drinking container has a bottle with a side wall, a closed bottom, a neck, a reservoir, and a top opening in the neck providing access to the reservoir. A cap is removably fitted on the neck to close the top opening. A ledge can be on an interior surface of the bottle below the top edge. A filter assembly is supported in the bottle and can be suspended on the ledge. The bottle can have an annular formation in the side wall below the neck to prevent the neck from deforming when the bottle is squeezed. The side wall can have a pair of squeezable sides and a pair of opposed stiff sides below the annular formation, whereby the stiff sides help the bottle to rebound quickly after each squeeze.

An indicator can be provided on part of the drinking container and set by a user to indicate a parameter relevant to the useful life. The filter assembly can have a cage connectable to the container. The filter media can be in the cage and the indicator can be on the cage or the bottle. The filter media can be cylindrical with an open center and have a pleated layer of non-woven, cellulose material and a film layer of non-woven fabric material. The filter assembly can be capable of a liquid flow rate of at least about 15 ml/sec passing through the filter media.

The wall section is joined to the skeleton along perimeter edges of the panel structure. Portions of both an inner surface and an outer surface of the wall section are exposed and not covered by the skeleton.
