    Abstract: Over the years, eyestrain and headaches have become an increasing problem for computer users, especially those who require eyeglasses. To combat this problem, lenses and a method/system for calculating the characteristics of these lenses have been developed. The method/system takes age, height, and the user's or wearer's prescription into account to help optometrists grind lenses that are specifically adapted for use with computers. Therefore, it is now possible to have an automated system that determines characteristics for lenses that are adapted for use with computers.
